Privacy Policy for SnapMark Pro
Effective Date: May 17, 2026
SnapMark Pro ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is committed to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle data when you use our Chrome Extension.
Data Collection and Usage
SnapMark Pro is designed as a local productivity tool.
Website Content & Screenshots: The Extension captures images of web pages and injects an annotation canvas only when you explicitly trigger the screenshot function. This data is processed entirely locally on your machine.
Local Storage: We utilize Chrome's local storage and unlimitedStorage APIs to save your configuration preferences, application states, and your local screenshot history.
No Server Uploads: We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your captured images, personal information, or browsing history on external servers. Everything stays on your device.
2. Permissions Justification
To perform its core functions, the Extension requests the following browser permissions:
activeTab & scripting: To capture the visible area of the screen and inject the annotation tools when requested.
storage & unlimitedStorage: To save your annotated screen captures and preferences locally without data limits.
downloads: To allow you to export your finalized images directly to your local computer.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell, trade, rent, or transfer any user data to third parties. There are no tracking scripts, data brokers, or external analytics frameworks embedded within the Extension.
Compliance with Chrome Web Store Policies
SnapMark Pro complies fully with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the "Limited Use" requirements. Data accessed through Chrome APIs is strictly used to provide and improve the user-facing features of the extension.
