Introduction
Fast Web Makers ("we," "our," or "us") built the SnapLog application ("App") as a free application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
Our Core Principle: Your Privacy Matters.
SnapLog is designed as an Offline-First application. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.
Information Collection and Use
Data We DO NOT Collect:
We do NOT collect personal information (name, email, phone number)
We do NOT collect location data
We do NOT collect usage analytics or behavioral data
We do NOT upload your photos to any server
We do NOT require account creation or login
We do NOT use tracking technologies or third-party analytics
We do NOT share any data with third parties
Data Stored Locally on Your Device:
Photos: All images you capture or import are stored locally in your device's storage
Album Data: Album names, creation dates, and organization metadata are stored in a local database on your device
App Preferences: Your settings and preferences are stored locally using Android's standard preferences system
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it using Android's standard sharing features.
Why We Need Permissions
SnapLog requires certain permissions to provide its core functionality. Here's a transparent explanation of each permission and why it's needed:
📷 Camera Permission (android.permission.CAMERA)
Why we need it:
To capture progress photos directly within the app
To enable the Ghost Overlay feature (showing previous photo while taking new one)
To use both front and rear cameras for different types of progress tracking
To control flash for low-light photography
How we use it:
Camera is ONLY activated when you tap the capture button in an album
Photos are saved directly to your device's local storage
We never stream, upload, or transmit camera data anywhere
Camera access can be revoked anytime in Android Settings
🖼️ Storage/Photos Permission
For Android 13+ (API 33+): android.permission.READ_MEDIA_IMAGES For Android 12 and below: android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Why we need it:
To save captured photos to your device's Pictures folder (Pictures/SnapLog/)
To import existing photos from your gallery into albums
To display your photos in the album timeline
To create and share before/after collage images
To make photos visible in your device's Gallery app
How we use it:
Photos are saved to a public folder so you can access them outside the app
You can import any photo from your gallery to track existing progress
Collages are temporarily stored for sharing, then can be deleted
We never upload, sync, or transmit your photos to any server
All photo data stays 100% on your device
📤 Sharing Feature
When you create a collage and share it:
The collage image is temporarily saved to your device
Android's standard share sheet is used to send to Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.
The receiving app handles the upload — we never touch your data
You have full control over what gets shared and where
Important Notes:
All permissions are optional — the app will ask before accessing anything
You can deny permissions and still use limited features
Permissions can be revoked anytime in Android Settings → Apps → SnapLog → Permissions
We follow Google Play's best practices for permission handling
Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device:
Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features (PIN, password, biometrics)
We cannot access your data because it never leaves your device
Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored app data
We recommend using your device's security features to protect your personal content.
Children's Privacy
SnapLog does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age. Since the app operates entirely offline and stores data only on the local device, there are no privacy concerns specific to children's data.
Third-Party Services
SnapLog does NOT integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. We do not use:
Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
Advertising networks
Social media SDKs
Crash reporting services that transmit personal data
Compliance with Google Play Policies
This app complies with the Google Play User Data policy requirements:
We are transparent about data handling (none collected)
We handle user data securely (stored only on-device)
We respect user rights (full control over local data)
We do not sell user data (no data is collected to sell)
Data Retention and Deletion
Retention: All data remains on your device for as long as you keep the app installed
Deletion: Uninstalling SnapLog will remove all associated app data. You may also delete individual albums or photos within the app at any time. Photos can also be managed through your device's file manager.
Your Rights
Since we don't collect or store any of your data externally, you have complete control over your information:
You can delete photos and albums at any time within the app
You can export your photos using Android's sharing features
You can uninstall the app to remove all app data
You can manage app permissions through Android Settings
