Snap Eraser
Effective Date: 11/11/2024
Welcome to Snap Eraser. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use, and protect any data that may be collected through the app. By using Snap Eraser, you agree to the practices described here.
Snap Eraser does not directly collect any personal user data. However, we use third-party services to improve app functionality, performance, and user experience. The data collected by these services is anonymized and used for analytics, app stability purposes, and advertising.
a. Firebase Analytics
Purpose: We use Firebase Analytics to gather insights into how users interact with the app. This data helps us understand usage patterns, app performance, and user preferences.
Data Collected: Non-personally identifiable data, such as device type, app usage patterns, screen views, session duration, and general user interactions within the app.
Storage & Retention: Data is securely stored on Firebase servers and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
b. Firebase Crashlytics
Purpose: Firebase Crashlytics collects information related to app crashes and errors to help us identify and fix technical issues, ensuring a smooth user experience.
Data Collected: Crashlytics may collect information about the device (such as device model, OS version), the app state during a crash, and technical logs. No personally identifiable information (PII) is collected.
Storage & Retention: Data is securely stored on Firebase servers and managed according to Google’s data retention policies.
c. AdMob
Purpose: AdMob helps us deliver targeted advertisements to users. AdMob may collect certain information to provide relevant ads based on user behavior within the app.
Data Collected: Device identifiers, IP addresses, and other anonymized data as specified in Google’s Privacy Policy to ensure ads are appropriately targeted and relevant.
We display advertisements within Snap Eraser using AdMob:
Personalized Ads: AdMob may use device identifiers, cookies, and other tracking technologies to deliver personalized ads.
Opt-Out Options: You can control ad personalization by adjusting your device settings or managing preferences through your Google account. For more information, visit Google’s Ad Settings.
Snap Eraser complies with privacy regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), by integrating a Consent Management Platform (CMP) certified by Google.
Purpose
The CMP is used to gather user consent for displaying personalized advertisements and managing data collection in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.
How It Works
Users in applicable regions are presented with a consent message before any personalized ads are displayed.
The message explains what data is collected and provides options to accept or reject personalized ads.
Managing Consent
Users can update their consent preferences anytime through the app’s settings or via the CMP interface.
If a user does not consent to personalized ads, only non-personalized ads (based on contextual information) will be shown.
For more details, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy.
Automatic Background Removal
Snap Eraser leverages Google’s subject segmentation technology, an AI-powered tool, to automatically identify and remove backgrounds from photos. This functionality is processed directly on the user’s device without external data transfer.
Manual Background Editing
After the automated process, users can refine or enhance the results manually.
Image Composition
Users can combine multiple images, add custom elements like emojis and text, and apply color changes. These edits are performed entirely on the user’s device.
Image Saving
Edited images are saved directly to the user’s device gallery. Snap Eraser does not access, store, or transmit these images to external servers.
Local Storage: All edited images are stored locally on the user’s device. Snap Eraser does not upload or share user images.
Third-Party Access: No third-party access is granted to user data except for services like Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and AdMob, which follow strict data management policies.
Security Measures: We follow industry-standard security practices to ensure all third-party data is securely managed and accessible only to authorized systems.
We respect users’ privacy rights and provide options to control certain data practices:
Opt-Out of Analytics: You can disable Firebase Analytics by adjusting your device settings or within the app (if available).
Ad Personalization: Manage your ad preferences via your device settings or Google account settings.
Data Deletion: Snap Eraser does not collect personal data. Any saved images are stored locally and can be deleted directly from the device gallery.
All data collected by Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and AdMob is retained in accordance with the data retention policies of these services. Data is stored only as long as necessary to ensure app functionality, stability, and compliance with legal or business requirements.
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our data practices, service updates, or legal requirements. Any changes will be communicated by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this document. Users are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed about how we protect their data.
