SnapClean is an Android media and storage management application designed to help users analyze, organize, clean, and protect photos and videos stored on their device.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information SnapClean accesses, how it is used, how it is stored, and your choices regarding your information.

2. Information We Access

SnapClean may access photos and videos stored on your device when you provide the required Android media permissions.

Depending on your Android version and the permissions you grant, SnapClean may access information associated with your media, including:

• File size

• File name

• Media type

• Image dimensions

• Video duration

• Creation or modification dates

• Album or media grouping information

• Other metadata made available by Android's media APIs

This access is necessary for SnapClean's core functions, including storage analysis, duplicate detection, media organization, cleanup recommendations, and Vault features.

SnapClean only accesses media that Android makes available to the application under the permissions and access choices you provide.

3. How We Use Your Media

SnapClean uses accessible media solely to provide application functionality, including:

• Analyze media storage usage

• Identify duplicate files

• Identify similar or potentially redundant photos

• Identify large videos

• Identify screenshots

• Identify media that may be associated with Snapchat based on device-side media information

• Display media for review and organization

• Calculate potential storage savings

• Process user-selected media for the Private Vault

• Perform user-requested deletion or other supported media-management actions

SnapClean does not need your Snapchat username, password, or Snapchat account credentials to perform these functions.

4. Snapchat-Related Media

SnapClean may identify media already stored on your device that may be associated with Snapchat.

This classification may use information available through Android media APIs, such as file names, media paths, albums, or other available metadata.

SnapClean does not:

• Log in to Snapchat

• Request your Snapchat password

• Access Snapchat account credentials

• Access Snapchat's private application database

• Access Snapchat's private application storage

• Modify the Snapchat application

• Bypass Snapchat security protections

• Interfere with Snapchat's security or privacy mechanisms

SnapClean is an independent application and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Snapchat.

5. Private Vault

SnapClean includes a Private Vault designed to protect media selected by the user.

When you move media into the Vault, SnapClean stores the protected media within the application's private storage environment and may use encryption and Android security mechanisms to help protect Vault content.

Vault access may be protected using:

• PIN authentication

• Biometric authentication, where supported by your device

Your Vault PIN is not intentionally stored as plain text.

Vault content is not intended to be displayed in the normal SnapClean media browser while the Vault is locked.

6. Local Processing

SnapClean is designed with a local-first approach.

Core media operations, including:

• Media scanning

• Storage analysis

• Duplicate detection

• Similar-media analysis

• Screenshot classification

• Snapchat-related media classification

• Cleanup calculations

• Media selection

• Vault management

are intended to be performed on your device.

We do not need to upload your personal photos or videos to our servers to provide these core features.

7. Data Collection and Sharing

Based on the current design of SnapClean, we do not sell users' personal photos, videos, or Vault content.

We do not intentionally collect or share your personal media with third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.

Important: If the version of SnapClean distributed on Google Play uses analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, attribution, cloud services, payment services, or other third-party SDKs that transmit data from the device, those services must be accurately disclosed in this Privacy Policy and in Google Play's Data Safety section.

8. Device and Technical Information

SnapClean may process limited technical information required for normal application operation, such as:

• Android version

• Device compatibility information

• Application version

• Error or diagnostic information, where applicable

We do not use this information to access or collect your personal media beyond what is necessary for SnapClean's functionality.

9. Deletion of Media

SnapClean does not intentionally delete your personal media without your action.

Cleanup features are designed to allow you to:

1. Review detected media.

2. Select the items you want to remove.

3. Confirm the deletion.

4. Allow Android to perform the applicable deletion operation.

You remain responsible for reviewing selected files before confirming deletion.

Where Android requires system authorization or confirmation, SnapClean uses the applicable Android mechanism.

10. Data Retention

SnapClean is primarily designed to process user media locally on the device.

Application metadata, such as scan information, detected duplicate relationships, preferences, or other local application data, may remain on your device until you delete it, clear the application data, uninstall SnapClean, or otherwise remove it through the application's available controls.

Vault content remains stored until you explicitly restore or delete it, or otherwise remove the application data.

If we introduce any server-side service in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to explain the applicable data retention practices.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by SnapClean.

These measures may include:

• Android-supported permission controls

• Application-private storage for protected Vault content

• Biometric authentication where supported

• PIN-based Vault authentication

• Secure key-management mechanisms where applicable

• Local processing of core media-analysis operations

However, no storage or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

12. Children's Privacy

SnapClean is a general-purpose utility application and is not specifically directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for advertising or other unrelated purposes.

13. Third-Party Services

SnapClean may use third-party services or software components necessary for application operation.

Where applicable, these services may process limited technical information according to their own privacy policies.

Currently, we don't use any third party sdk in the app. Later on, we'll add google analytics maybe as the app grow and we'll updated our app privacy policy according to that time to time.

You control whether SnapClean can access your photos and videos through Android's permission controls.

You can:

• Grant or deny media access

• Change media access later through Android Settings

• Remove media access from SnapClean

• Delete media selected for cleanup

• Add or remove media from the Private Vault

Some SnapClean functions may not work if the required media permissions are not granted.

15. Uninstalling the App

When you uninstall SnapClean, Android removes the application's private app data according to the Android platform's behavior.

Before uninstalling SnapClean, make sure you have restored or exported any Vault content you want to keep.

Media stored in shared device storage may remain on the device after uninstalling the application.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in SnapClean, applicable laws, or our data practices.

When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date at the top of this page.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
