YJ Hong Research Group
"Semiconductor NanoArchitecture Device Lab"

Welcome to Dr. Y.J. Hong's "Semiconductor NanoArchiteucture & Device" research group at Sejong Univ.

Our research group's primary goal is to explore the growth (or synthesis) of three-dimensionally designed semiconductor nanostructures and heterostructures in an architectural manner. Additionally, we are dedicated to applying our findings to practical electronic and optoelectronic devices. To this end, we investigate methods such as epitaxy, heterostructuring, doping, and microelectronic fab processes to enhance device performance, functionality, and density. Our studies on nanoarchitecture heterostructures aim to fabricate and engineeri new functional device, broadening our research to discover more exotic and unconventional applications. Key areas of focus include:

Position Opening:

We are looking for graduate students. One or two graduate positions are available for highly motivated individuals. Applicants are expected to have an excellent track record with strong persistency and academic background in at least one and preferably multiple areas including semiconductors, solid state physics, inorganic chemistry, and crystallography. The positions will focus on remote epitaxy with metal-organic chemical vapor deposition, and the other will study 3D nanostructure optoelectronic devices.

The ideal candidate must show the strongest enthusiasm in research and is open-minded, creative and energetic. One interested should contact Dr. Hong.
