The Bible is a book of redemption. It is not merely a book of history or science. It is a book of salvation and deliverance for humankind.
We are redeemed from the penalty of sin, from the power of Satan and evil, by the price Jesus paid for us on the cross. And we were redeemed to a new freedom from sin, a new relationship to God, and a new life of love.
The whole Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament, looks to the mighty, redemptive atonement of Christ. His blood sacrifice is the ransom paid for our deliverance. He took our sinful nature upon himself in order that he might satisfy the demands of the law. His sacrifice is accepted as payment for the debt the center owes to God, and his death is accepted as the full payment for the individual's deliverance.
Our large redemptive work for us is threefold. First, it is forgiveness. Second, justification, we are restored to a position of favor of God. Third, it promises us final deliverance from the power of sin at the coming of the Lord.
When God made the heavens in the Earth, it was beautiful and perfect and pure. And the garden of Eden, however, through deception of the woman, our first parents fell. Eve was deceived, but Adam chose to die by the side of the woman whom God had created and placed in his arms. They tried to hide their guilt and shame from God by making themselves aprons of fig leaves, but when God looked upon the covering, he said, this will not do. Covering for sin, atonement for sin, cannot be warned by human hands. The Lord took an innocent animal from the garden of Eden, and before the eyes of Adam and Eve, he slow the animal. This is the beginning of the Scarlet thread of red redemption through the slaughter of an innocent victim. God took the code of skin and covered the shame and nakedness of the man and his wife. This is the first sacrifice, and it was offered by the hand of Almighty God. When Adam saw the gasping, spent life of that innocent creature, and its bloodshed on the ground, it was his first experience of knowing what it meant to die because of sin.
So the story of atonement and sacrifice begins and unfolds throughout the word of God, until finally in glory, we shall see great thrones of the Saints who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb. This is the scarlet red redemption.
As the Lord covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve, he turned to Satan and said, and I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seat and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel. Genesis 3:15 This promise is related to the great controversy between Lucifer and Almighty God. It speaks of Jesus at Calvary. Jesus suffered. His hill was bruised. But in that bruising, he defeated once and for all the power of that old serpent, the devil, he bruised his head.
Adam and Eve made their first home on the cursed earth. You’ve had two sons, Cain , whose father was Satan, Adam was the father of Abel. They were twins. Kane and jealous anger killed his brother Abel. The Lord gave to Adam and Eve another son, Seth. Seth was a man of faith and Kane was a man of the world.
When the children of Seth, the godly remnant, intermarried with the sixth day created races and fallen angels, the results were people violence that filled the earth. Finally, God said enough. 120 years later, he would destroy the Earth. But, a member of the lineage of Seth found Grace and the side of God. His name was Noah. To preserve the righteous seed, God told Noah to build an ark. God saved Noah and his family, and all that was on the art from the flood.
It was not long, however, until send abounded again, and the people banded together and announced their plans to build a tower, they were told by God to inhabit the whole earth. Collectively, in one place, they were more powerful and prideful. When God looked down and saw their pride, he confused their speech and caused them to Babel. They were unable to understand each other. From this tower of Babel, the different parts of the human race, scattered in different directions, and so became the nations of the Earth.
The whole earth had been plunged into idolatry, but God called out this man Abraham to leave his home, his place, his country, and his family to go into another country which he would receive for an inheritance. Abraham obeyed God, and came as a pilgrim, a stranger into the land of Canaan. God gave him two sons. But God said to Abraham that Ishmael, the son of a slave woman, would not be the promised seed. Abraham‘s son by his wife, Sarah would be the child of promise, who they named Isaac. Isaac was the father of two sons, Esau, and Jacob. The Lord refused Esau and chose Jacob whom he renamed Israel
Because of famine in the land of Canaan, and because Jacob‘s son, Joseph, was in Egypt, the entire family of Jacob went to live in Egypt. Later, their Rosa pharaoh who did not know Joseph. The chosen family became slaves to the new rule of Egypt. God heard their suffering, and raised up the mighty prophet Moses to deliver his people from bondage. God worked their deliverance by miracle called Passover for the Lord said when I see the blood I will pass over you and will spare you and your home. This way of salvation through the blood is once again the "Scarlet Thread of Redemption".
God has chosen family through the leadership of Moses to freedom through the parting of the Red Sea in the mountain of cyanide. Moses was with God for 40 days and 40 nights and their God gave to Moses, the law, the 10 Commandments, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the ritual instructions of holy worship, portraying the sacrifice of the son of God.
After the death of Moses, Joshua led the war of conquest in Jericho an instant happened, which is the reason for the title of the summary the scout sent out by Joshua to spy out. Jericho was saved by the faith and kindness of a woman named rehab. The man of Israel promised safety to both her and her family if she would bind a Scarlet thread in her window she did this, and when Jericho fell into the hands of Joshua by God‘s intervention, right having her family were spared because of the Scarlet thread.
After the conquest of Canaan under Joshua, we have the story of judges the difference between a judge and a king was that a king gave his son has thrown by inheritance, but the judge was raised up in a time of crisis and a dad was special guest from God for a period of time the days of judges end with the birth of Samuel.
During the time of Samuel, the people began to cry for a king. It was God‘s purpose in the beginning for the children of Israel to have a king, but it hurt God and the way they rebelliously requested their desire to Samuel. According to God‘s instruction Samuel anointed Saul to be king at first he carried out the mandates of heaven, but soon he fell away into disobedience of the wheel of God. God revealed to Samuel that he must’ve known a man after God‘s own heart, he was directed to the shepherd boy David, the son of Jesse.
The first part of David’s reign as king was wonderful. He was a great king and God bless the people at the height of his glory. David turned from the wheel of God and became self-indulgent and lustful nevertheless, David repented and God forgave the sin and chosen to be the father of that son who would sit upon his throne as king forever, a type of that glorious son of David was the immediate son of David called Solomon. Solomon also began his reign as king triumphantly, and the people prosper but like his father, he fell into decline.
Upon the death of Solomon the kingdom was divided thereafter the people of God were divided into two kingdoms the north was called the kingdom of Israel, and the south was called the kingdom of Judah. The northern kingdom of Israel was taken away in captivity by the Assyrians; the southern kingdom of Judah was carried away into Babylonian captivity during the Babylonian captivity. Jeremiah prophesied in Jerusalem, while Daniel and Ezekiel, comforted and strengthened the people of God in Mesopotamia, out of the Babylonian captivity came three greatest establishments by which God has blessed our world first, the Jews were never idolatrous again. Second, the synagogue was born and from the synagogue came to church. Third, the cannon of the holy Scriptures
Out of tears of suffering came our greatest blessing, the "Scarlet Thread of Redemption". Out of agony of the days of the kingdoms of Israel and of Judah came the predictions by the prophets of a more glorious Savior and king and God would send to his people.
The Persian ruler gave the people the right to return from the Babylonian captivity to their homeland and Judah, and to build their holy temple in Jerusalem. The render of captivity returned to their homeland; they were encouraged by God‘s messengers Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi to restore the worship of the true God and Jerusalem.
The 400 year period between the Old and the New Testament marks the rise of the Hellenistic empire. God used Alexander the Great to spread throughout the civilized world one culture and one language which made possible the lighter preaching of Christ to all men everywhere in that intro biblical period also wrote the might of the Roman empire.
when Rome had the entire world in her hand the great prophecies of Isaiah Micah Nathan to David Jacob, to his son Judah, and the great promise of God Almighty to even in the garden, came to pass the seat of the woman through the seat of Abraham to our Savior being born in the world. The "Scarlet Thread of Redemption" has led us to the birth of him who has come to redeem the human race.
Early in his ministry, Jesus began to teach his disciples that he should suffer and die when he was transfigured; there appeared Moses and Elijah talking to him about his death when he was anointed by Mary of Bethany. He said it was for his burial. He said if I be lifted up from the Earth, I will draw all men to myself at the last supper, he said this is my body eat, and remembrance of me and again he said this is my blood drinking and remembrance of me before he went to the cross he gave himself in Gethsemane in travail of soul for our redemption, and when he bowed his head and died, he said it is finished.
When we preach the cross the blood, the sacrificial death of Christ, we are preaching the meaning of his coming into the world.
The death and resurrection of Christ consummated the great redemptive plan and purpose of God on the Earth. this is the "Scarlet Thread of Redemption".
After the resurrection of our Lord, after the great commission to the apostles, and after the ascension of our Savior into heaven, the Lord poured out his Holy Spirit upon his church in Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost then the disciples of Jesus began to preach the good news of Hope and salvation.
In all of Paul’s letters there’s a constant theme of redemptive love it is part of the "Scarlet Thread of Redemption"
We now come to the conclusion of the Bible
On the Isle of Patmos, John was exiled to die of exposure and starvation, but the Lord appears to John in a glorious vision. He saw the unveiling of Jesus Christ in his glory in his majesty, and in his kingdom, he also saw the apocalypse the things to come, tribulation the second coming, the millennium and the eternal state
After the purging of the Earth of Satan and his minions, and after the judgment upon those who reject Christ, and after cleansing the earth of heartache, tears sickness, sin, death, and the grave will come the renovation of earth and heaven, a new glorious creation of heaven and earth in it is the dwelling place of God himself, and we, the redeemed will live in his presence for all eternity
The message of redemption accomplished in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
