In Hebrews 1 & 2, we find out that angels are created beings. They are not born as men are born, nor do they have the same authority as human beings. But they are created with a purpose
In Hebrews 1:14 we see their ultimate role. "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" Who are these heirs of salvation? You and me. We are the heirs of salvation and, as such, the ministering spirits or angels, are sent by God to minister for us.
If you are an heir of salvation, meaning you have accepted Christ as your savior; angels are sent out in service to you. And they can literally be a life saver.
Psalms 91 says, because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, there shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your dwelling. For He will give His angels charge over you to accompany and defend you in all your ways.
God gives His angels charge over you. He charges them to protect you, to keep you, and to minister to you.
Psalms 103:20 says angels are mighty ones, who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His Word.
They excel in strength; supernatural, super-human strength.
Hearkening to the voice of His Word is a clue about what causes the angels to work. They hear the voice of His Word concerning your welfare from YOUR MOUTH. When you speak out God's Word of deliverance, the angels assigned to you go to work to bring that word to pass.
The Bible gives us clear instructions on how to deal with angels. It says "provoke him not" for he will not pardon your transgression, in other words, he can't excuse you for speaking contrary to God's Word. But if thou shalt indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries. For mine angel shall go before thee. Exodus 23:21-23
Provoke him not! How do you provoke an angel? By speaking things that are contrary to the Word of God. By saying things like: they're going to kill me, I'm afraid, I'm sick, I'm broke, this will be the death of me... Most people are more developed in fear than they are in faith. Change that!!! Don't say foolish things! Let the Word of Faith stay in your mouth! When you speak your defeat instead of your victory, the angels assigned to you do not have the authority to say "that poor, dumb lady; I'll just bless her anyway. I'll protect her even though she's not trusting God." They can't do that! They cannot pardon your transgressions. They are bound. Their hands are tied by your words of doubt and unbelief. They have been charged to hearken to God's Word; words of faith Psalms 103:20. Your words either turn your angels loose to go to work for you, or force them to sit helplessly by while the devil harasses you.
If you haven't been getting the action you want in your finance, your health, or any other area of your life; the first place to look is right in your own mouth. Don't blame it on someone else. Look at your own words!!! There is no shortage of angel power. God's Word says there are trillions of them. If there's a shortage in your life at all, it's a shortage of faith filled words. When you are tempted to discuss how bad your situation is... STOP!!! Remember your great salvation and remember what God's Word says, you are wonderfully blessed and highly favored, you are called by His name and are joint heirs with Christ.
Put God's promises of deliverance in your heart and in your mouth. Continually give the angels the word they need to protect you. Allow them to work for you, to cause all of God's wonderful promises and His will to be accomplished in your life.
DANIEL 10:12 - Daniel had been praying, repenting and fasting for Israel when an angel appeared to him and said "thy words were heard, and I've come for thy words". He didn't say he came because he was fasting.
MATTHEW 12:36-37 - Jesus says, "by your words you will be jusified, by your words you will be condemned". Your words will be judged. When you face Jesus, you might ask why did you allow this or that, and then you will see how you will be accountable for your spoken words.
MATTHEW 16:19 - Jesus says, "whatever you bind on earth will be bound, and whatever you loose on Earth will be loosed".
God has already done His part by providing a pathway to get all of his wonderful promises to us. It is our responsibility to act on His Word.
Psalms 91 is a good chapter to memorize. Make it personal. Read and confess it this way.
I dwell in the secret place of the Most High. Therefore, I shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, and under his wings shall I trust. His truth shall be my shield and buckler.
I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, and then thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come nigh me.
Only with y eyes shall I behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because I have made the Lord which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation; there shall no evil befall me, neither shall any plague come nigh my dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.
I shall tread up the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shall I trample under my feet.
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. -Hosea 4:6
Put your voice to God's Word, your angels are listening. Release them to minister for you.
Keep your focus on Jesus and God's Holy Word, not on angels. They are just our servants and messengers.
