Mission Statement:

The mission of the Shafer Middle School Music Department starts with a moral principle, or a creed, that we instill in our students. “Better than yesterday” is something that we want our students to form their lives upon. We want them to be better musicians, better students, better sons/daughters, better brothers/sisters, and most importantly better individuals than they were yesterday. This principle is a hope that they will be able to realize their potential, act on it, and experience all that they are able to be.
