Sacramental Preparation
and
Celebration
The sacraments of First Confession and First Communion are celebrated when children are in 2nd Class.
The sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated when children are in 6th Class.
The children are prepared for the sacraments in partnership with home and the parish.
The school supports the Diocesan guidelines on how best to prepare for and celebrate the sacraments of First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation.
Parents and children are encouraged to engage in the programmes provided for their preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation, such as 'Do this in Memory' and 'Getting Ready for my Confirmation.'
In preparation for the sacraments, the children learn and memorise the relevant prayers.
Confession & Communion
