Training and Rehearsals

In St Mary's N.S., we encourage and facilitate the children who wish to become an Altar Server in our parish church. Each term, an opportunity to train will be provided along with an opportunity to practice. A teacher from our school will assist Mr Gerard Greene who is responsible for training.

Altar Server Pledge

I will perform all of my duties in a serious and faithful manner, remembering that I am serving God, the Church and my Parish Community.

I will always be helpful to my fellow altar servers and support them in any way I can.

Altar Server Prayer after Mass

Lord Jesus, I thank you for the opportunity to serve you during the Holy Mass.

In your sacred presence, my heart is filled with joy and peace.

May your Spirit always guide me so that I may grow in your love by the grace of our Heavenly Father.
