Monrovia, Liberia — July 20, 2025 In an unprecedented (and quite frankly baffling) turn of events, the Liberian Ministry of Unusual Affairs has officially declared a national “Semen Famine,” citing a “critical shortage in quality and quantity of the nation’s reproductive juices.” The announcement came during a bizarre but enthusiastic press conference, where Minister of Unusual Affairs, Dr. Bartholomew Kwame, stood before reporters flanked by giant inflatable sperm mascots and holding a sign that read: “Give It Up For Liberia."

 “We are experiencing a 93% drop in national sperm morale,” Dr. Kwame said gravely. “Men are too tired, too distracted, or just not in the mood. We must act swiftly before the situation becomes… irreversible.” According to the Ministry, the crisis was triggered by a mysterious combination of factors, including: 

• Excessive binge-watching of  reality dramas 

• A nationwide hot sauce eating contest gone wrong 

• An overuse of the phrase “I’m just focusing on myself right now” 

The Semen Famine is expected to be resolved by late August—or whenever people stop laughing long enough to take it seriously.
