Walking Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Sitting Meditation and Reflection

Combining restorative yoga poses, walking and sitting meditation, and reflection, our intention is to demonstrate beneficial qualities that develop in contemplative practice so that you can recognize and integrate them into your life.

Whether you are new or have a long-term practice in yoga or meditation, this day-long retreat will be held within an open and flexible schedule, allowing you to participate at your own level. You can attend all the sessions or take time out to go for a hike, or rest in the sun.

The yurt is tucked away in nature, near the ocean, with a feeling ‘away from the city’ where you can naturally be drawn toward quiet and reflection, without much effort. We will hold this day in silence, with designated times for instruction and sharing.


Bring your own bagged lunch that does not require refrigeration or cooking. Picnic tables have some sunny and some shady areas. You can eat in silence or share conversation with others.


Restroom area is accessed by a five-minute walk away from the yurt. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The yurt has yoga props – blankets, bolsters, and chairs. If you have favorite transportable chair for sitting meditation, sitting cushions or blankets, please bring them.


Street parking is close to the yurt and it is likely we will have a few people that can help you carry things, if needed.
