In April, we traveled to Mae Ai in Northern Thailand with friends from Pattaya (Allan & Janet) and Hua Hin (Liam & Lek) for a traditional Thai engagement ceremony between the prospective Bride and Groom's families. The happy couple were, of course, Warisa and Jeffrey.

Then in August, we switched countries from Thailand to the USA and traveled across the Pacific to Portland, Oregon where Alex and Angie were setting up home after a move from California. We were going to Portland for their wedding. We were joined by our friends Pat & Paul from the UK, and cousins Ann & Dave from Canada, plus a host of Alex's friends from all over the world, and Angie's family and friends - also from far flung places.

And, finally in December, we headed to Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand again where another group of family and friends from 7 different countries gathered to celebrate Jeffrey and Warisa's nuptuals. The group included the newly weds from Portland and the Latendresse family whose son John has been Jeffrey's best friend forever. I was very proud to be asked by Warisa and Jeffrey to be the officiant at the ceremony.
