File Functions

There is a file menu in the Evaluation Criteria form and the main program view. Not everything found in the main program view is in the Evaluation Criteria form.

New

This item allows you to start a new data matrix. The program will prompt you to save the current data matrix before it destroys it. Note that the program only allows one data matrix to be open at a time, so if you want to access more than one at a time, you'll have to run multiple instances of SquidMat simultaneously.

Open

SquidMat saves decision matrices under a variety of file types. (See Save below.) This function opens matrices saved as SquidMat files (i.e., SQM file types).

Save

This is actually a Save As function. The program will ask you to confirm the file's name each time you go to save it. There are four different types of files you can save to:

Copy matrix to clipboard

Places a copy of the decision matrix in the Windows clipboard for immediate pasting into another program. There are two types of copies.

Print preview

Shows what the printout will look like if you were to perform a standard print (as opposed to a WYSIWYG print). Print settings. Allows you to change all sorts of print settings: margins, headers and footers, titles, date and time information, page orientation, fonts, etc. You can also save and load settings as an INI file.

Print

There are two ways to print.
