Marilyn McIntyre Memorial Scholarship 

This award was established in 2010 to honor Marilyn McIntyre. Marilyn was a founding member of Southwest Missouri Hunter Jumper Association and we remember her with a perpetual sponsorship in her name along with a scholarship, awarded annually. She was a driving force in organizing this association. She also trained many riders in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Marilyn was a mentor to many beginner riders supporting their efforts to advance in the sport by providing school horses, lessons, show transportation and coaching. She was the trainer for the MSU Hunt Seat program for many years before they had their own facility and staff. Since she was so dedicated to the beginner rider (both children & adult) we have established the Marilyn McIntyre Memorial Scholarship to be funded by SMHJA. 

Members may apply at any time during the year. The application should be either mailed to SMHJA at the published post office box or e-mailed to SMHJA78@gmail.com. Deadline for applications is January 1st to be awarded for the prior-year at the Year End Awards Banquet.
