Good returns or Toothpicks?

Rohit attended a party recently with a gathering of about 300 people & sat in the front row.

A lady started distributing snacks from the back row. Unfortunately, it didn't get to him in the front row. So, he moved to the back row.

Another lady started handing out drinks from the front row. But, he had already moved to the back row & the drink didn't get to him.

He was irritated & stood up to leave.

But, then, he saw three ladies each with a big bowl of vegetable Manchurian. This time, he tried to be wise by sitting in the middle row.

One of the ladies started distributing from the front, & the second lady started distributing from the back. When they got to the middle row where he was seated, it got over again!

Feeling frustrated, he bent his head, putting his face in his hands. But then, the third lady tapped him & held out her bowl. He stretched out his hand & guess what was in the bowl?

Toothpicks!

This happens in investing too. Don't try to position yourself & time the markets. If you are disciplined & patient, then good returns are likely to come to you sooner or later.

If you try to time the market, you may wrongfully position yourself for toothpicks only!
