Smart Printer: Wireless Print

Effective date: October 4, 2026

1. Introduction

Smart Printer: Wireless Print (the "App") is published by Tap Code ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, who receives it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android app with package name com.smart.printer.print.document.scan.document.

The short version:

The App needs no account. We do not ask for your name, phone number or password.

Your documents, photos, scans and signatures are processed on your device. We do not upload them to our servers.

The App is funded by advertising and subscriptions. Third-party analytics, crash-reporting and advertising SDKs collect device and usage data, as described below.

By installing or using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information the App handles

2.1 Content that stays on your device

The following is processed and stored locally on your device. We cannot see it and it is not sent to us.

Files you print or convert. PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and text files, photos, labels and calendars that you select. Conversion to a printable format happens on your device, and the result is handed to the Android print system and your printer.

Scans and OCR text. Document scanning and text recognition run on your device through Google ML Kit, delivered by Google Play services.

Edited images and signatures. Pictures you crop, edit or sign are saved in the App's storage on your device.

Print history. Up to 200 recent entries, each holding the print type, a title, the local file path or web address, and the time. You can delete entries in the History tab.

Printer details. The App searches your local Wi-Fi network for printers. Printer names, local network addresses and the printer model you select are used only on your device.

App settings. Language, remaining free prints, onboarding status and similar preferences.

In-app browser data. When you open a website to print it, the page loads directly from that website. Cookies, site storage and form data are kept by the Android WebView on your device and are governed by that website's own privacy policy.

If Android backup is enabled on your device, Google may include the App's local data in your device backup under your Google account settings.

2.2 Information collected automatically by third-party SDKs

Device identifiers: Android Advertising ID, Firebase app-instance ID, Crashlytics installation ID. Collected by Google (Firebase, AdMob) and Meta.

Device and network information: device model, Android version, language, screen size, app version, IP address, country or region derived from IP, network type. Collected by Google and Meta.

App usage: screens viewed, features opened, onboarding and subscription-screen steps, print and scan actions (the type of action, not the content), session length, free or premium status. Collected by Google (Firebase Analytics).

Diagnostics: crash logs, stack traces, device state at the time of a crash. Collected by Google (Firebase Crashlytics).

Advertising data: ads shown and tapped, ad performance, consent choices. Collected by Google (AdMob) and Meta (Audience Network).

2.3 Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details. The App receives only what it needs to unlock premium features: the product purchased, purchase status and a purchase token.

2.4 Information you send us

If you email us feedback or a support request, we receive your email address and whatever you write in the message.

2.5 What we do not collect

The App does not collect your name, contacts, precise GPS location, microphone audio, or the content of your documents, photos and scans.

3. Device permissions

Internet: load ads, printable templates, quizzes and web pages; send analytics and crash reports; check subscription status.

Network state and Wi-Fi state: check connectivity and find printers on your Wi-Fi network.

Read storage (Android 12 and below only): list PDF and document files on your device so you can pick one to print.

Advertising ID (added by the advertising SDK): ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.

The App does not request the camera permission. Document scanning is provided by the Google Play services scanner, and photos are chosen through the Android system picker, so the App receives only the items you select.

4. Third-party services

The App includes the services below. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.

Google Analytics for Firebase – understand how the App is used and where users drop off. Firebase privacy

Firebase Crashlytics – detect and fix crashes. Firebase privacy

Firebase Remote Config – deliver app and ad settings without an app update. Firebase privacy

Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) – show banner, native, interstitial, app-open and rewarded ads. How Google uses data

Meta Audience Network (through AdMob mediation) – show ads supplied by Meta. Meta Privacy Policy

Google User Messaging Platform – collect and store your advertising consent choices. Google Privacy Policy

Google Play Billing – process subscriptions. Google Privacy Policy

Google ML Kit (document scanner, text recognition) – on-device scanning and OCR. ML Kit terms

Google Play In-App Review and In-App Update – rating prompts and update checks. Google Privacy Policy

GitHub (content hosting) – download printable templates and quiz content. GitHub Privacy Statement

Flaticon CDN – download sticker images for the photo editor. Freepik Privacy Policy

Content hosts such as GitHub and Flaticon see your IP address and basic request data when the App downloads a file from them, as with any web request.

5. Advertising, consent and your choices

The free version of the App shows ads from Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network. These partners may use the Advertising ID, IP address and ad-interaction data to show personalised ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure performance and prevent fraud.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. On first launch the App shows a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform. Ads are requested only after the consent step is complete, and personalised ads are shown only if you agree.

Changing your choice. Where a consent choice applies to you, open Settings in the App and tap the privacy options entry to change or withdraw consent at any time.

Advertising ID controls. In Android, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads to reset or delete your Advertising ID. Deleting it stops ID-based personalisation across all apps.

Google and Meta controls. Manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com, and Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.

US state privacy laws. Sharing identifiers with ad partners for personalised advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state laws. You can opt out with the controls above.

Removing ads. A Smart Printer Pro subscription removes ads from the App.

Rewarded ads are optional. You choose to watch one in exchange for extra free prints.

7. Retention, security and international transfers

International transfers

8. Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at the address in section 10 and we will take steps to delete it.

access the personal information held about you and receive a copy of it;

have it corrected or deleted;

object to or restrict its processing, including for personalised advertising;

withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;

opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (California and other US states), and not be treated unfairly for using your rights;

complain to your local data protection authority.

How to use these rights:

On your device. Delete print history in the App, clear the App's data in Android settings, or uninstall the App to remove everything stored locally.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or the law changes. The new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date, and continued use of the App after that date means you accept it.
