We may collect information you choose to provide, such as when you contact customer support or when you grant permissions required for specific features like file management or cleaning.

Smart Cleaner Pro does not require account registration to use its main features.

3. How We Use Your Information

Collected information is used to provide file management, cache cleaning, and storage analysis features, improve app stability and usability, analyze aggregated usage trends, display advertisements (subject to system settings), respond to support requests, and prevent misuse or security risks.

4. App Permissions and How They Are Used

Smart Cleaner Pro only requests permissions that are necessary for specific user-initiated features.

android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Triggered when you tap to view file directories or file categories. On Android 11 and below, this permission allows the app to read files stored in external storage.

android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Triggered when you enter file directories or manage files. On Android 11 and below, this permission allows the app to write files to external storage, such as during cleaning or file organisation.

android.permission.MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Triggered when you browse file directories or file types. On Android 11 and above, this permission allows the app to read and write files on external storage so file management features can function correctly.

android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Requested on Android 13 and above when the app is first opened on the splash screen. It is not requested again when entering the home page. This permission allows notifications to be shown in the notification bar.

android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS
Requested when you choose to clean cached files and tap to retrieve cache information. On Android 6 and above, it allows access to app usage behaviour information to improve cleaning accuracy.

android.permission.GET_PACKAGE_SIZE
Not actively requested from users. On Android 6 and below, it allows the app to obtain the size of other installed applications.

android.permission.CLEAR_APP_CACHE
Not requested from users. On Android 6 and below, it allows cached data to be cleared as part of cleaning operations.

android.permission.REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES
Not requested by default. It is only used when you choose to uninstall other applications through Smart Cleaner Pro.

All permissions are used strictly for their intended purposes. Smart Cleaner Pro does not access or upload personal files without your explicit action.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use trusted third-party services for analytics, advertising, or crash reporting. These services process only the data necessary to perform their functions and operate under their own privacy policies.

6. Data Retention

Usage and analytics data is retained for up to 60 days.
Files and media always remain on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
Data is deleted once it is no longer required or legally necessary.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no system can be completely secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

Smart Cleaner Pro is not intended for children under the age of 13. If we become aware that data from a child has been collected, it will be deleted promptly.
