Smart Udhaar ("we", "our", "the app") is developed and
maintained by DB Digital Labs. This Privacy Policy explains
how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal
information when you use the Smart Udhaar mobile application.
By downloading or using Smart Udhaar, you agree to the
terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please
do not use the app.

· Full name
· Mobile phone number
· Email address
· Udhaar (credit) transaction details
· Item descriptions entered during transactions
· Chat messages between shopkeeper and customer
· Invoice and payment records
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
· Device type and operating system
· App version
· Crash logs and error reports
· Notification interaction data
2.3 Permissions We Request
CAMERA
Used exclusively for scanning QR codes to link shops
and customers. We do not capture, store, or upload any
photos or videos from your camera.
NOTIFICATIONS
Used to send you alerts about udhaar requests,
settlements, payment reminders, and account activity.
You can disable notifications anytime in device settings.
INTERNET
Required for syncing transaction data, login, and
real-time updates between shopkeeper and customer.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use collected information to:
· Verify your identity via OTP or email login
· Enable 2-way udhaar transactions between
shopkeeper and customer
· Sync transaction records across both parties
· Send payment reminders and due date alerts
· Generate invoices, reports, and ledger history
· Provide AI-powered insights and credit scoring
· Improve app performance and fix bugs
· Respond to your support requests
We do NOT use your data for advertising or sell
it to any third party.

4. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share data only in these limited cases:
· Between connected users: When a shopkeeper and
customer are linked, both parties can see the
shared transaction records — this is the core
function of the app and requires mutual consent.
· Service providers: We may use trusted third-party
services (e.g. Firebase, cloud hosting) solely to
operate the app. These providers are bound by
confidentiality agreements.
· Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect
the rights and safety of our users.

5. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
· Your data is stored securely on encrypted cloud servers.
· All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
· We use PIN lock and authentication to prevent
unauthorized access.
· Transaction records require mutual consent from
both parties — no one can add or modify data
unilaterally.
· We retain your data as long as your account is active.
You can request deletion at any time.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Smart Udhaar is not intended for users under the age
of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from minors. If we discover that a minor has provided
us with personal information, we will delete it
immediately.

8. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Smart Udhaar may use the following third-party services:
· Firebase (Google) — authentication, database,
crash reporting
· UPI payment apps (GPay, PhonePe) — payment
redirect only, we do not process payments directly
These services have their own privacy policies. We
recommend reviewing them separately.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date
at the top and notify users via the app. Continued
use of Smart Udhaar after changes means you accept
