The DIU Transport System plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient transportation for students and faculty members. However, the current system faces several challenges, including a lack of real-time tracking, seat availability monitoring, and scheduling inefficiencies.
This project aims to develop an Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)-based transport management solution to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and real-time responsiveness of the transport system. By implementing OOP principles such as encapsulation, inheritance, and modular design, we propose a digital solution that enables real-time bus tracking, seat availability updates, and improved scheduling.
Through crowdsourced data integration, the project envisions a user-friendly mobile application that allows students and faculty to access real-time bus statuses, seat occupancy details, and route optimization. This initiative not only enhances transport convenience but also provides a structured emergency alert system and online payment integration to modernize DIU’s transport services.
