For this project, we wanted to further explore the concepts of dynamics. To do this, we chose to look at the dynamics of a Frisbee.
We used an inertial measurement unit (IMU), and a micro-controller to record data from a Frisbee that we threw. Using this data, we attempted to reconstruct the flight of the Frisbee.
Our project is designed to have applications in the sport of Ultimate Frisbee. A more integrated product could provide players with quantitative and qualitative feedback on their throws so that they could improve their performance.
