When configuring a new mobile phone we would like to use "samsung swart switch" (we mainly use samsung smartphones and it gives the option at setup). However, when we try this it says: Use of samsung smart switch limited by security policy.

mobile > apps > android > add the samsung smart switch app > edit > Check the mark for use managed configuration > press the + button and allow smart switch run aswell. After you save Smart Switch will be able to do it's thing.

The application uses the bundleID of com.sec.android.easyMover. Looking for that in the file system, there weren't many databases that appeared there at first. Within the shared_prefs folder, there was a "smartswitch_prefs.xml" file that had some great information in it including:

A month and a half ago, I purchased my first iPhone. I've been an Android user my entire life, and I've had the same 200GB microSD card for around ten years. Any time I changed to a new phone, I would simply pop in the same SD card. I knew going in that iPhones don't have expandable storage, but I've been hitting a brick wall trying to transfer my text messages and apparently so has everyone else. The folks at the Genius Bar, Best Buy, Samsung Telephone Support, Apple Online Support, AT&T support... 'Move to iOS' didn't work... I have what I think might be 'OTG' cables but when I connect the phones nothing happens. I caved and bought one of those paid phone switch programs: still didn't work. Finally I was able to get everything backed up to my Mac using SmartSwitch, but has anyone been able to move data from a SmartSwitch backup to an iPhone? Thanks!

Making the switch to a new Samsung mobile device has never been easier. I need to allow users to use the Samsung Smart Switch Mobile application to transfer their data to their new Samsung phone.

I thought just adding the app in the android app in Intune was enough.

When the user installed the app and tried to use it, he got the error "Security policy restricts the use of Smart Switch."

It didn't work. The user still gets an error "Security policy restricts the use of Smart Switch."

I saw the application could not have enough access to old resource phones such as sms, contacts and etc.

Even after manually assigning all permission to Samsung Smart switch mobile, it doesn't work and shows the same error.

Next, I added App configuration policies. I attached the properties of the policy that I created and granted all permission to Samsung Smart switch mobile. The result was the same. It doesn't work.

It would be great if you could help me in this regard. I checked Compliance policies for android, device restrictions for android and security setting. I couldn't find anything to block Samsung Smart switch mobile.

Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets are some of the most used Android devices. Yet, despite the popularity of Galaxy products, many owners do not realize Samsung developed an application for creating and restoring backups or upgrading mobile devices. Secure Data Recovery, the expert in RAID, SSD, and hard drive recovery, offers a step-by-step guide and tutorial for restoring data to a Galaxy smartphone or tablet with Samsung Smart Switch.

Those with a Samsung Smart Switch backup can restore files to a Galaxy mobile device. These provided backups enable our customers to recover from data loss on a failed Samsung device. However, people can also use Samsung Smart Switch to transfer data to a new Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

Creating a backup with Samsung Smart Switch on your computer and restoring a Galaxy smartphone or tablet depends on the operating system. Following these instructions can help users migrate their files to a new Samsung mobile device.

Is Samsung Smart Switch available for iPhone? Unfortunately no. Smart Switch is designed to work with Samsung and Android devices. That means Smart Switch won't be the solution for some users to transfer photos from samsung to iphone or other content. Especially if they are looking to switch from Samsung to an iOS device like an iPhone.

It's meant to be a tool for Samsung to Samsung, iPhone to Samsung, or Android to Samsung to transfer content only. So if a user is looking to switch from Samsung to an iPhone then they'll need to use other methods. Now that doesn't mean a Samsung user cannot sue any other transfer tool to transfer data from Samsung.

First and foremost, the reason switching from one Android phone to another is so much easier than it used to be is largely thanks to all of the simple syncing systems built into our devices. So take a minute to make sure you're taking full advantage of those possibilities. It'll set your phone-moving voyage up for much smoother sailing.

Here's one important part of the Android phone switching process that isn't exactly obvious or intuitive: If you're using the Google Messages app, you need to sign out of its RCS Chat system on your old device prior to moving into your new phone.

Sonoff is a smart switch device line for Smart Home developed by ITEAD. One of the most flexible and inexpensive devices from that line are Sonoff Basic and Sonoff mini. These are Wi-Fi enabled switches based on a great chip, ESP8266/ESP8285.

While the Sonoff infrastructure may work quite well for basic users, others may want to hack to make own with their hardware. The hardware to build DIY Sonoff smart switches its low price: ESP8266 with 1MB flash, Relay LED, Button and power.

Next, to load the firmware to esp8266 you don't need a computer or laptop, just need an Android smartphone with an awesome app that is SwitchIoT, with this app makes an IoT device is as easy as uploading firmware without the need for registers/login and server configurations.

The Bluino IoT Starter Kit already has Wemos board, relay, LED and button. You will use a relay connected to pin D6, LEDs connected to pin D0 and a button connected to pin D1. Use an OTG and micro USB cable to connect between Wemos and an Android smartphone

After you finish setting up hardware with a smartphone, it's time you start upload the firmware into the ESP8266/ESP8285 chip. Wait before that make sure DO NOT CONNECT AC POWER during the flash cable connection.

Open App go to setting and choose menu "Connect device to network", confirm status LED of SwitchIoT device is blinks rapidly, connect your smartphone to a network with hostname siot-xxxx after that fill in the SSID and password a network that will be used by the SwitchIoT device. Then press "CONNECT", wait until it's done.

The unique tokens can be allowed to be accessed by more than one app and more than one SwitchIoT device. With this feature you can create schemes such as two switchiot devices and SwitchIoT app that can be controlled together. If one SwitchIoT device is ON then the other SwitchIoT device also follows the same conditions ON, as well as the app.

Smart Switch Agent is a very handy tool for any Samsung user. Now you can easily tranfer any kind of information from one Samsung device to another. Let's say you recently bought a new smartphone and want to seamlessly transfer all your files from your old phone to your new Samsung smartphone, all you have to do is download this app and it'll handle everything wirelessly.

Smart Switch Agent assures you'll never lose anything from your old smartphone ever again. Enjoy all your favorite multimedia content and important information from your old phone on your new device, no matter what model it is. Plus you can always count on Smart Switch Agent to save your content as a backup plan in case you lose any of your files.

You can transfer data from your old android phone to a new LG phone via a CABLE. You may need to get USB connector (OTG) in order to connect the two phones together (using G6 as an example). Follow the steps below.

Samsung's Websites more or less aggressively markets Smart Switch to be the way to switch to a Galaxy phone from your old potentially NON-Galaxy phone. Of course there is some marketing talk involved in there trying to promote Galaxy Phones.

Many people are just iPhone users and never want to switch from the comfort of iOS. However, Samsung has always given iOS tough competition in the range and features of their flagship phones. It is one of the reasons why many people switch to the more beautiful, feature-enriched, and budget-friendly Samsung flagship phones. But when switching from iOS to Android, the biggest challenge is transferring data across old and new devices.

I did eventually get this to work. I moved the Enbrighten device to another room further from the hub and my wifi router, but closer to the other Z-wave device on my network (the WallMote switch). I went through the factory reset process and then tried to scan nearby through the app - and magically, this time the device showed up in the list. After choosing the device, I scanned the QR code when prompted, and then the device paired successfully. There was a delay of several minutes (with the app showing a progress indicator) before the pairing completed. I did get some warnings about how the latest security was not supported on this device, but it seems to be working ok now that it is paired. e24fc04721
