Smart PDF (“we,” “our,” “the App,” or “Smart PDF”) respects and values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we access, process, use, and protect information when you use Smart PDF.
By using Smart PDF, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Process
Smart PDF is designed to provide PDF reading, creation, and file management features while minimizing the collection of personal information.
Files and Documents
When you use Smart PDF to open, browse, create, or manage PDF files and other supported files, the App may need to access files that you actively select or relevant files stored on your device.
These files may be used to:
- Open and view PDF files
- Browse local files stored on your device
- Create PDF files
- Manage, rename, or delete files you select
- Display recently opened or recently used files
- Perform PDF-related actions that you actively initiate
For core PDF reading, creation, and file management features, file content is generally processed locally on your device.
Unless a specific feature clearly states otherwise and you provide the required authorization, we do not actively upload your PDF files or other document contents to our servers.
Photos and Media Files
If you use features such as “Image to PDF,” creating PDFs from your photo library, or similar functions, Smart PDF may request access to photos or media files stored on your device.
We only access the photos or media content you select after you actively use the relevant feature, and such content is used solely to complete the PDF creation or editing operation you request.
Camera
If you use features such as document scanning or creating PDFs by taking photos, Smart PDF may request access to your device’s camera.
Camera access is used only to:
- Capture documents
- Scan physical documents
- Convert captured content into PDF files
Smart PDF does not activate your camera on its own when you are not actively using a feature that requires camera access.
Files and Storage Permissions
To locate, display, open, and manage PDF files or other supported files stored on your device, Smart PDF may require access to your device’s files or storage.
We use these permissions only to provide file viewing, creation, and management features.
You can modify or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings.

If you allow Smart PDF to send notifications, we may use notification permissions to provide information related to App features, such as file processing status, feature reminders, or service-related notifications.
You can disable notifications from Smart PDF at any time through your device settings.
