A great logo communicates your values and helps people remember you. It also helps potential customers decide if your product is right. All of this is communicated through the use of color, shape, and other design elements. Learn how using smart logo generator make your logo tell the story.

The company logo is the one component of a brand identity which is likely to be included on every business touch-point, therefore, you want people to remember it. Memorability is achieved through simplicity, as people remember simple shapes faster.

The best way to illustrate the impact of this is by showing an experiment by Hanna Giles, which is similar to the one mentioned above, however, this time the designer has swapped the styling of iconic brands instead.

For this reason, a logo should be designed in vector format, to ensure it can be scaled and easily reproduced any required size. Click on the image below to read a blog I wrote which discusses what a vector file is, and why it matters.

An effective logo should be timeless and stand the test of time. How will the design look in 5, 10 or even 50 years? Avoid using logo design trends as they date quickly. David Airey, author of Logo Design Love makes a good point in his comment below:

Looking for some logo design inspiration? Here are 50 ingenious examples that carry dual meanings in their design. The hidden symbols explain either the nature of the business or are a clever visual representation of its name.

Instead of going into the details of the AI technology, we are more interested in the end results. Just what kind of logo can you produce with an online logo maker. Below is a screenshot of the logo idea templates. These are actual logo designs created by their customers ( I know because I can see the logo I just created showing up on their portfolio page). These designs look pretty good and most importantly the variety of logo style this tool is able to create is really impressive.

After entering my logo name, I was immediately presented with a bunch of logo concepts and I can simply scroll to the right to see more design options. Have to say I was quite impressed with the results. Given the little information I have provided so far, I can already see a couple potentials.

Just when I thought I have decided on the new logo for the website, another beautiful design showed up on my screen. I like the simple blue colored design with the origami bird as the logo icon. But the following colored design want to make me think twice on the final decision.

Updating a logo is a serious decision, so instead of trying to pick one myself, I decided to ask for some feedbacks. So, if you have feedbacks or opinions between these 2 logo designs, please leave your feedback in the comment section. Do you like the blue origami bird logo or the more colorful abstract compass logo?

Hi Design Beep! thanks for posting my Arabian horse logo. Unfortunately, the x/y axis dimensions are off, making it look oblong. It is actually a perfect circle. Perhaps you could correct this? the file itself is fine.

Remember to keep a few things in mind when designing a logo for it to be effective and to serve the purpose for which it was intended. If you have mastered the basics of design, then crafting an amazing logo design should not be rocket science. Follow these quick and easy guidelines on how to successfully design a logo:

A simple logo design makes it understandable for everybody and is easily recognizable. Hence it becomes easy for people to grasp it quickly and in turn relate to it instantly. Effective logos feature something unexpected or unique without being overdrawn. Putting in too many elements may not work for you and could pass a confusing message that will not draw any attention.

No matter what type of personal brand, business or organization you are running, having a great first impression means everything. One of the best ways to deliver a lasting impression is through the use of a high-quality logo and professional images and designs throughout all of your products and branding.

A logo design should be unique to stand out in a crowded marketplace of competing brand identities. It should also be well-crafted and studied that the elements of the logo like the shapes, form, colors, and typography are harmoniously art directed.

I can't help but notice the design flaws in PLDT and Smart's new logos, particularly the latter's logo. Being one of the two Philippines' leading wireless service provider (Smart is a subsidiary of PLDT), I'm wondering how their design agency (or probably just a freelancer?) had them approve their redesigned new logos.

A month ago, the internet was dismayed with the launched of the new logos of this big time telecom company. Some compared the symbol to Vicks and Google Drive, the font to FamilyMart, and the color scheme to Ariel. An anonymous designer even changed this symbol to a turtle (but let's not get to that).

I agree on the "Change" concept behind the Delta triangle symbol and its representation on the company's three business pillars. My concern in this symbol is that it is so common that similar logos, besides Vicks and Google Drive, have been used before (see image). Was there an intention to really make the logo distinctive? Did the designer make his research about this?

I guess my biggest issue with the logos is the typography. It's so amateurish and a designer's nightmare. I think the designer wanted to be unique that he created these wordmarks out of scratch but entirely missing his Type Design 101. The small letter "a" in the word Smart is unforgivable. The one story construction "a" should have a counter (inner circle) nearer the stem. The capital letter "S" has a wrong spine curvature. The vertical stems of the letters in the word "PLDT" have varying widths.

I think the other lesson here, like what my creative mentors always tell me, is that an idea falls short if it is not executed well. Craftsmanship is essential in logo design and development. Unfortunately, this rebranding lacks that attribute.

Not all Smart logos are created equal. Choosing the right logo type for your business is one of the keys to creating a great Smart logo. There's an array of logo types and what you choose depends on the emotions and message you want your logo to evoke. Logos with just text or simple letters can convey professionalism or luxury, whereas a Smart logo with just an icon can be more jovial and exciting - maybe your logo should have both? This is a critical decision in the logo design process.

Ever considered why some companies use specific colors in the Smart logo? Or why some businesses have certain colors in their branding? Color theory and psychology is the science of eliciting emotions and feelings via the use of color. Knowing what colors trigger different reactions from consumers can help a company create the perfect Smart logo for their business. It definitely pays to choose the right colors for your Smart logo. Want to be seen as a dependable, trustworthy brand or maybe you want to be sporty and active. Choosing the right colors for your logo is the key to getting the message right.

Just like colors, shapes can influence a person's emotions. The psychology of shapes has a key role in creating a great Smart logo. We're not just talking about squares, circles and triangles here, but the geometric patterns that make up your Smart logo. Sharp corners and straight lines are aligned with discipline and strength, whereas softer curves, ovals and ellipses can convey a sense of eternity, mystery or magic. There's more shapes to consider as part of your logo - natural shapes like leaves, complex shapes like spirals or even abstract patterns. Getting the balance right will help you get the perfect Smart logo for your brand.

The standard logo version is used on all major media. (Print and online)

The new smart logo is familiar and yet new. We have adapted the logo to the new requirements of digitalization and the associated changes in corporate design and communication. The flat design allows us to be more modern and flexible, ensuring consistent visibility across all channels and hence strengthening our recognizability. Our logo conveys the clear and under-standable message of our positioning and it equally convinces with design and functionality. The new logo is the central element of the re-designed brand identity of smart. Formally it consists of two partial elements: the figurative mark and the word mark. Derived from the design idea, brand promise and values as well as positioning, the new logo symbolises the self-image of smart.

The logo is located in a protection zone, in which no other element may be placed. This zone also indicates the minimum distance between the brand and the format edges. The protection zone is defined by the outer edges of the logo plus 2 X, where X is the height of the word mark. All dimensions, proportions and minimum distances of the logo must always be considered. If the logo is separated and only the word mark or figurative mark is used, the protection zone of 2 X remains for both elements. 17dc91bb1f
