Welcome to Smart Bill Reminder ("the App"), a mobile application developed for the Android platform by Mudasir Hussain ("we," "us," or "our").

Because the App is ad-supported, it integrates third-party software development kits (SDKs) to serve advertisements. Specifically, the App uses Google AdMob.

To deliver core local features like precise alerts and background scheduling, the App requests specific Android device permissions. These permissions are used strictly for local functionality and are never leveraged to harvest user data:
android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Post Notifications): Allows the App to display push notifications and visible alerts on your screen when a bill is due.
android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM (Schedule Exact Alarm): Enables the App to trigger local notification alarms at the exact minute and hour you specify, ensuring you never miss a bill deadline.
android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED (Receive Boot Completed): Allows the App to automatically reschedule your local bill alarms in the background whenever your Android device is rebooted, preventing missed reminders.
Because all of your billing data remains stored directly on your physical device, the security of your data depends entirely on the security of your own device.
We do not use cloud transmission, meaning your data cannot be intercepted or breached via an external server hack. To keep your information safe, we recommend that you:
Secure your mobile device with a strong PIN, password, or biometric lock.
Avoid sideloading malicious software that could compromise your device's local storage.
Be aware that anyone with physical or unlocked access to your device can view your local bill history.
Smart Bill Reminder complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The App is not intended for use by, and does not knowingly address, anyone under the age of 13.
We do not intentionally or knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. Because we do not operate a cloud database or backend server, we do not store any user data to begin with. However, if we discover that a child under 13 has inadvertently bypassed boundaries or provided personal data through support channels, we will immediately purge that information from our records.
We respect your privacy rights under global frameworks, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Because your data is exclusively local-first, exercising your rights to access, port, or erase your data is entirely under your direct control:
Accessing & Porting Data: You can view all your stored data directly inside the App's user interface.
Deleting Data ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can completely erase 100% of your data at any time by:
Navigating to your device's Settings > Apps > Smart Bill Reminder > Storage and selecting "Clear Data" or "Clear Cache".
Alternatively, simply uninstalling the App from your device will permanently wipe the local SQLite database.
