Hi guys, newbie bassist here and just got my Hofner Ignition Series Violin Bass. I wanted to change the bass strings of my Hofner Violin Bass to Flatwound bass strings, but since I live here in the Philippines, there are limited options for the violin bass and since I own an ignition model, it became more difficult for me to find the right gauge and at the same time a good brand for my Hofner Ignition Series Violin Bass. There are no brands like La Bella, Rotosound, and Fender are available and can also fit my bass, but I researched more and found Ernie Ball Slinky Flatwound bass strings with a 40-95 gauge, and I'm worried that it will have some trouble with my Hofner Ignition short scale bass.
