Meet the Pastor
Pastor Jon Lauver is from Mount Pleasant Mills, PA. He grew up on a small family farm as well as an adjoining small family business. Jon had the blessing of being raised in a Christian home and attending the sound Bible-teaching church of Richfield Life Ministries Church in Richfield, PA. He trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age and continued to grow in his faith.
After graduation from high school, Jon spent one year serving as a Pennsylvania State FFA Officer. He then attended Liberty University for three years and graduated with a B.S. in Business in 2006. After graduation, he began working alongside his parents in their trucking and retail fertilizer business. In 2007, he married his high-school sweetheart, Mandy, who graduated from Liberty University with a B.S. in Nursing. In 2011, he began online seminary classes through Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated in 2013 with a Masters in Theological Studies. He then served as Pastor of Worship Arts and Family Ministries for Lebanon Valley Bible Church near Hershey, PA, from 2014 until 2020.
In the summer of 2020, he and his family moved to Waukesha to begin classes at Ethnos360 Bible Institute as part of a decision to consider future ministry options. While attending the Bible school, Jon made a connection with Slinger Community Church in the Spring of 2021 and accepted a call to serve as their interim pastor. They graduated from Ethnos360 Bible Institute in May of 2022 and moved to Slinger in June of 2022. At this time, Jon also transitioned from the role of interim pastor to pastor at Slinger Community Church.
In addition to serving at Slinger Community Church, Jon also drives truck for Laufer Trucking in Hartford, WI.
Pastor Jon and Mandy have three children - Dulaney, age 5, Meredith, age 3, and baby Hannah, age 1.
