This Privacy Policy describes how Slick Notes ("the Extension") handles user data. Your privacy is a core principle of our development, and we aim to be fully transparent about how your information is used.
Slick Notes does not collect personal information on its own servers. However, to provide specific features, the Extension interacts with the following data:
User-Generated Content: Notes and tags you create are processed locally to display them on X (Twitter).
Authentication Data: If you use the Pro features, the Extension uses Google OAuth to identify your Google account for license verification and Cloud Sync access.
Metadata: The Extension identifies X (Twitter) handles and profile IDs to correctly associate your private notes with the intended profiles.
We handle your data solely to provide the Extension's functionality:
Note Display: Data is used to highlight and show notes on your X (Twitter) timeline and profile pages.
Cloud Synchronization: For Pro users, data is transmitted directly between your local browser and your own Google Drive via the Google Drive API.
Local Storage: All notes, tags, and settings are stored on your device using the chrome.storage.local API.
Cloud Storage (Pro Users): If Cloud Sync is enabled, a copy of your notes is stored in a private, hidden folder (appDataFolder) on your personal Google Drive. We do not have access to your other Google Drive files.
No Sale of Data: We never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party tracking or analytics scripts.
Service Providers: Data is only shared with Google (via the Drive API) for the purpose of synchronization at the user's explicit request.
User Control: You can delete your notes at any time through the Extension's dashboard.
Uninstallation: If you uninstall the Extension, all locally stored data is removed. Data stored in your Google Drive will remain until you manually delete it or disconnect the Extension's access.
