In my original post, I linked the oldest mention of the image on this sub that I could find. In my second post, I mentioned how me and a team of fans had found older posts of the image, most notably on Know your Meme that were made 2 days before the Imgur one. Finally, in post number 3, I talked about how we found a Deviantart post made the same day as the KYM post and asked for help in finding more sources which sadly did not happen. With no new leads, I decided to go ahead and make my video on the hunt in hopes we could get more help from it. But again, nothing happened and I eventually called it quits on the project and began perusing other topics.

I had always assumed the image came from 4Chan, as this was something you could imagine being from there. But with know idea where to look in terms of archives, I was lost. I had found Google Trends that mentioned that perhaps the image was as old as July 9, 2012 but not links to back it up. Until now!

Hello, everyone and anyone, Aaron the WebGuy here to present to you some truly spooky links to binge during this Halloween season. And I do mean binge worthy, since if you decide to follow me down the rabbit hole, you will have hours of video to scare the heck out of you. This is what I would consider a "deep dive" into some truly disturbing fiction that blends in just enough reality that it makes it somehow all the more unsettling.

So with all that said, onward to Spooky Links! Here is how I will be presenting them to you: first will be the link to the original YouTube page or first video in a series, and then I'll be linking directly to a wonderful Youtuber named Nightmind and his "Explained" series. To be perfectly honest, these are your best bets to get the whole story since Nick Nocturne of Nightmind has done the ARG legwork for you. Also, I'll give my thoughts on whether it will be the right show for you. Finally, one last thing to note about all the series I am presenting today is that they take place over the course of years. Due to that these series are slow burns that take a while to setup before the real show begins.

Next comes my personal favorite of the bunch. Everyman Hybrid is probably the main reason I am motivated to share these spooky links. Prepare for a bait and switch approach to storytelling that starts off maybe too simple and then morphs into something truly unique.

There's a lot of content if you take the plunge along with me this Halloween. It can be daunting experiencing these stories without a little help from Nightmind. Nick Nocturne's voice is almost as buttery as my own, but what if you just wanted to experience the story without interruption and just watch a series? Well, join me in a recent series called Keratin Garden that I am currently watching myself and only requires you to click the link and watch away.

Slender Man has links to many Proxies, which are insane individuals under his control or influence. The nature of Proxies, their workings, etc, are unknown, but make appearances in EMH as HABIT, and TT as Observer. Slender Man has also spawned many philosophical and theoretical cults made up of uninfluenced but aware individuals, such as the Novus Ordo Europa in DarkHarvest00.

The Rake is the name given to another mystery creature that is somehow linked or associated with Slender Man. The Rake has a far shorter history, and the only real appearance of association with Slender Man or a Proxy is through the video accounts of EMH.

As I wake up, I’m walking out of the theater, blinking into the gray sunlight, texting my wife, “Welp, that movie was a downer.” Still fresh in my mind, burned into my retinas, is the final image of the film, of Rose, consumed in flames, reflected in the glasses of the only character who ever believed her: a cop named Joel. The horrified expression on his face tells us what we already know: he’s next.

The reason it was 400 MB's is because of custom .wav sound files that are used, and I didn't know it was possible to compress them. I have now managed to shrink it down to 171MB's and updated the download link. I know it's a big file, but the map itself doesn't have any flaws because of this. It only takes longer to download. And you can delete it again after playing it, if you don't want it to take up storage space on your computer. So, are you interested in giving this a try, or will it be a no from you? :-)

In order to promote your work with this prefix, the thread needs to promote not only your project, but substantial discussion. Rather than a link/sales blurb/video with "What do you think?" which would go in the Hype Machine, ask specific questions with strong prompts, just like a normal thread does.

The link between Minecraft and Slenderman comes in the form of Minecraft characters known as Endermen. These black, box-like characters stand three blocks tall and have bright purple eyes. Like Slenderman, Endermen have elongated limbs and possess similar abilities such as teleporting, which is an alleged psychic ability that allows the characters to instantly transport themselves from place to place.

I know there is no "canon" slenderman lore, but I generally go by marblehornets. I don't think we've ever had a close up on his hsoes before, we have never seen him grow tentacles or anything (although, I still believe he can), and he can teleport, so windows and doors are no problem.

Hey, it's Micro here. Me, including a few more people are interested in this series a lot since it came out, We really love it! Thank you so much Marc for creating this awesome series. We decided to make a discord server about a project we've been thinking about: "The Slenderman's Shadow Iceberg" video, I'm sending a discord link to the server in case if anyone else is interested to help! We also use it to discuss Slenderman's Shadow related things:

Marc Steene... in case if you didn't wanted me to post this link, I'm sorry I'll delete it if you want me to

Kind regards, Micro

Irene Taylor Brodsky's HBO documentary explores the ubiquitous presence of a tall and faceless internet character known as Slenderman. From YouTube to fan fiction sites, this dark online meme has been linked to real life crimes. In her film, Beware the Slenderman, Brodsky tells the story of two 12-year-old girls from Milwaukee who stabbed their friend to appease the faceless meme.

You might be a long time reader of Something Awful, someone who was tricked into coming here by a malicious link, or a member of the media who recently heard about Slenderman. If you read no further, please, do not kill anybody because of something that came from this not quite humor website.

Advancing : I helped someone with a flickering flashlight, and have adapted that script to have the following behaviour. 1- light works for 1-2 minutes. 2- Light starts to flicker. 3- press F to reset light (light flashes twice as if being tapped/shaken) then light works again for another 1-2 minutes. I think it works well to add suspense (the flashlight suddenly flickers, and you have to reset it) . The link is : I want to turn my flashlight on and off, while still maintaining the flicker effects. - Questions & Answers - Unity Discussions

ONE UNFAIR THING I NOTICEd was that the light goes through the walls and the flashlight is easily exploitable. So you know how you die if you use the flashlight too close on slenderman or something like that? Well if you go behind the walls and shine him from there nothing happens and slender is still stunned. Also this makes the flashlight exploitable because slenderman doesnt get relocated until the flashlight is finally away from him, which is what I imagine the die from flashlight was supposed to prevent, so since the person doesnt die and slender is stuck until the person runs out of battery or looks away the person with the light can just hold him there while everyone else goes and looks for the notes. I do not know if this was intentional but I just wanted to point it out just in case. Other than that great game!

Hey, sadly this is an annoying bug with the multiplayer system since it is peer to peer which means some computers don't allow others to access their computer directly, so I have to set up other external servers to fallback to when this happens. I have a link to a beta version of the game where I added a bunch more fallback servers which should hopefully fix most of the cases where it crashes: -testing

Imaginary roots cannot grow a real tree. A hoax, no matter how popular, remains a hoax. Like scary Slender Man, viral viewpoints over a vaccine-autism link spread from a single human's fiction. After Eric Knudsen created the Slender Man, its myth spread as meme, a malleable open-source horror that inspired a murder attempt. After Andrew Wakefield falsified a vaccine-autism link, it panicked many into campaigning against vaccination.

He is only known to be seen in the woods and was used as a story that parents told their children to thwart bad behavior. There have been quite a few disappearances of children that have been said to be linked to the "Tree Man". ff782bc1db
