Welcome to Sleep Tracker (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our mobile application Sleep Tracker (the “App”).
By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Sleep Tracker is designed with privacy in mind. We do NOT collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data with our servers or third parties.
The App stores the following information locally on your device only:
• Sleep records (bedtime, wake-up time, duration)
• Sleep quality ratings
• Optional notes you add to sleep entries
• Sleep goal settings
• Reminder preferences (bedtime and wake-up alerts)
• Theme and display preferences (light/dark mode)
We do not require account registration, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or location through the App.

3. How We Use Your Information
All data stored in the App is used only to provide App features, including:
• Tracking and displaying your sleep history
• Calculating sleep duration and statistics
• Showing progress toward your sleep goal
• Sending local reminders (if you enable them)
• Saving your preferences between app sessions
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

4. Data Storage and Security
All sleep records, settings, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage). Your data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself (for example, using the device’s Share feature).
If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is permanently deleted from your device. We cannot recover your data after uninstallation.
We recommend keeping your device secured with a screen lock or biometric protection.

5. Notifications
If you enable bedtime or wake-up reminders, the App schedules local notifications on your device. These notifications are processed entirely on your device. We do not send notification data to any external server.
You can disable reminders at any time in:
Settings → Reminders
On Android 13 and above, the App may request notification permission. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings.

6. Third-Party Services
The App may interact with standard platform services provided by your device or app store, including:
• Google Play Store (for app distribution, updates, and optional in-app rating)
• Your device’s email client (if you use the Feedback feature)
These services are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs into the App.

7. Children’s Privacy
Sleep Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@sleeptracker.app and we will assist you.

8. Your Rights and Choices
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information. You can:
• View your sleep records in the History tab
• Edit or delete any sleep record at any time
• Change or reset your sleep goal in Settings
• Enable or disable reminders in Settings
• Uninstall the App to permanently delete all stored data
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with data protection laws, you have rights regarding your personal data. Since we do not collect or process data on our servers, these rights are exercised directly through the App or by uninstalling it.

9. Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the App installed. We do not retain copies of your data on our servers. Deleting the App removes all stored data permanently.

10. International Users
Sleep Tracker can be used worldwide. All data processing occurs locally on your device. No data is transferred internationally by us.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and within the App. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
