SleepKiller: Mission Alarm for Heavy Sleepers ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and disclosed by the SleepKiller app.
Our app uses your device's camera strictly for specific "Missions" (e.g., Squat Mission, Barcode Mission, Object Mission) required to dismiss alarms.
How it works: Image data is processed locally on your device using on-device machine learning (Google ML Kit).
No Uploads: We do not upload, store, or transmit your camera feed, images, or face data to any server. All processing happens in real-time on your phone and is discarded immediately after the mission is completed.
To function effectively as an alarm clock, we require the following Android permissions:
Overlay (System Alert Window): To ensure the alarm screen appears over other apps when your phone is locked or in use.
Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): To schedule alarms at the precise times you set.
Notification: To display upcoming alarm status, active countdowns, and service indicators.
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): To prevent the phone from sleeping while the alarm is ringing, ensuring you wake up.
Full Screen Intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT): To launch the full-screen mission interface from the background, even if the screen is off.
Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE): To keep the alarm logic running reliably in the background without being killed by the system.
We use Google Firebase to improve app stability and understand usage trends.
Crash Data: If the app crashes, anonymous logs (stack traces, device model, OS version) are sent to Firebase Crashlytics to help us identify and fix bugs.
Usage Data: We collect anonymous, aggregated data on feature usage (e.g., "Which Mission type is most popular?") to help us prioritize future updates.
No Personal Identity: This data is not linked to your name, email, or physical address.
We use the limited information we collect for the following purposes:
To Provide the Service: Reliably ringing alarms and verifying that missions (e.g., scanning a barcode) are completed.
To Improve the App: Analyzing crash reports to fix stability issues and optimizing performance for different device models.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.
Service Providers: We employ trustworthy third-party service providers (specifically Google Firebase) to assist us in analyzing how the App is used. These providers have access to anonymous data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Camera Data: Is never retained. It exists only in the device's volatile memory (RAM) for the few seconds required to verify the mission and is then destroyed.
Crash Logs: Retained by Firebase according to their standard retention policies (typically 90 days) before being deleted.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
