Greenhouse Gases are gases that trap heat in the atmosphere, contributing to the greenhouse effect - the warming of earth caused by the insulating impact of greenhouse gases. From driving a car to work to turning the lights on or running a load of laundry, many of our everyday actions emit greenhouse gases. The most notable greenhouse gases generated by human activities are: 

• Carbon Dioxide, or CO2

• Methane, or CH4

• Nitrous oxide, or N2O

The accelerating emission of greenhouse gases caused by human activity is producing long-term shifts in global temperature and weather - in other words, climate change. 

The challenges presented by our changing climate are prompting many people, companies, and countries to increase their sustainability: to conserve resources for the future and maintaining a balance between ecological, economic, and social well-being.
