About

Slade was born in Castro Valley, California where he was raised before he moved to Canton, Georgia in 2009. He has been surrounded with musical influences since a young age, as his father is a guitar player, and Slade began taking piano lessons in elementary school. As he grew older, his passion for music grew with him as he began singing in ensembles and participating in musical productions throughout middle and high school. These passions and experiences led him to Reinhardt University, where he double-majored in Music Education and Vocal Performance. However, he has always had the strongest passion for composing and arranging music, of which he spend a majority of his time practicing, studying, and creating music in addition to his required subjects. He is happy to share the music he has created with those who are interested, as well as create new music for those who wish to commissioning him.

Slade is currently employed with a company called Forsyth Academy of Performing Arts, where he is the music director for a majority of the musical theatre productions, as well as a private voice teacher and coach. He has been there since 2019, and has worked on over 20 productions with FAPA. He also works as a Substitute Teacher in the Cherokee County School District, which he has been doing since he graduated from Reinhardt Univeristy in December of 2021. Slade is also currently in the process of expanding his repertoire of compositions and arrangements, as well as learning to create music through other means than just notation, such as music production softwares.
