Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to announce the ISC2 2025 Workshop on Emerging Technologies in Autonomous Aerial Systems and Environmental Monitoring, a half-day event exploring how autonomous air mobility (AAM) and AI-enabled air quality monitoring (AQM) are converging to address critical challenges in smart cities, environmental health, and urban resilience.

This workshop is co-organized by the EUSOME and REFINE projects and offers a unique interdisciplinary platform that combines technical papers, demonstrations, expert discussions, and hands-on tutorials based on the research, tools, and methods developed in both projects.

Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to):

• Autonomous Aerial Mobility: UAVs, eVTOLs, and coordinated drone swarms

• AI for Air Quality Monitoring: Real-time sensing, ML-driven analytics, pollution forecasting

📚 Tutorials & Special Sessions

In addition to paper presentations, the workshop will feature interactive tutorials led by experts from the EUSOME and REFINE consortia. These sessions will cover:

• UAV coordination strategies and digital autopilot design

• Secure aerial-terrestrial communications and AI-driven environmental monitoring

• Training on regulatory frameworks and safety-critical AAM applications

• Open-source tools, simulation environments, and Digital Twin systems for AAM and AQM testing
