Joe grew up in San Mateo, California and his swimming background spans an incredible 50 years! He has been coaching for 37 years. This is Coach Joe's 13th year as the Head Coach at Skyline High School. Under his direction Skyline has won twenty High School State Championship titles.

Joe is married and has two children, one boy and one girl. His favorite hobby is fishing. The strangest food he has ever eaten is Ox tendons!! If Joe could travel to any country in the world it would be Australia. If he could travel to any state, he would travel to Montana.
Peter Brooks, Assistant Coach
Peter grew up in California and Utah. He swam age group in Utah and was coached by Joe when he was 12 or 13. He has been coaching for more than 15 years. He is married with 5 children (1 currently swimming at Skyline). Peter loves fly fishing, ultra marathons, triathlons and spending time with his family outdoors. His favorite part about coaching is seeing athletes improve and accomplish things they don't think they can do. Something most people don't know about Peter is that he can gut a fish with his bare hands (no really... he can). The hardest thing he has ever done is the Iron man triathlon or a 100 mile ultra marathon. The movie he can quote word for word is " A River Runs Through It".
James Bekker, Assistant Coach
James grew up in Salt Lake City. He is a former Skyline High School Swimmer! He swam for BYU in college and has been coaching on and off for 10 years. James is married and has four children. James' hobbies include surfing, skiing, and fly fishing. His favorite singer is Bob Marley. His favorite quote is "Do or Do Not... there is no try" - Yoda. The movie he can quote word for word is "Top Gun".
Lisa Bolton, Assistant Coach
Lisa grew up in Salt Lake City. She is a former Skyline High School swimmer. Lisa has been teaching swimming since she was 16. Lisa is married with 4 boys that have a lot of energy. Lisa is always up for an adventure and loves to try new things. She loves "playing" in the outdoors. What she loves the most is getting her family "Off The Couch" and making memories with her husband and boys.
