After being abandoned by her mother, though perhaps not intentionally as Estrid 109 is known to be something of a dreamer, Sif was raised the care of a small group of Felvargs who has settled in the area just outside of the Village of Skalaness. It wasn’t really much of a “pack” as it was more of a home to those “just passing through” as they bounced from location to location, the Drifters. Sif never knew who her biological father was, but she suspected that he was rather heartless himself for not raising her himself after her mother left so she held a lot of grief and anger in toward her parents. This led her to be rather untrusting of others, careful not to build any sort of bond or relationship, and rather bitter to those who might have befriended her otherwise. She thought that perhaps if only she could be free of the Drifters she could find some meaning to her life, so she left in search of that “greater purpose”.
Sif landed herself a home among the smugglers of Ulfrheim, where she was given the codename Calypso and was grudgingly allowed into their folds. Dedicated to her new life, she found herself rising quickly in the ranks as a runner and eventually landed her a position as Captain of her very own seaworthy vessel. The Blackbird ran stolen goods up and down the coasts of Ulfrheim faster than anyone had seen before. Until one season, while Sif was working a deal with a dealer, a storm ran the vessel ashore and wrecked her crew on an uncharted inlet. While many perished before returning to Ulfrheim, they were the lucky ones. Angry with the crew for wrecking her beloved ship when they did eventually return to land empty-pawed, Sif slaughtered the survivors and took the rescuing captain's crew by force. Sif's reign of terror did not stop there, as she drove her crew to darker deeds and deeper into the depths of madness earning herself the alias among the smugglers as Queen Calypso, the Stormbringer.
Driven by greed, Sif and her crew captured, detained, and destroyed many of her competitions' crews until few were left in her way. Once these forces were crushed however Sif began to grow bored of the mundane daily life left to her and set her sights inland toward the land where many villages awaited plundering. The problem? That the crew of bandits and privateers was far less inconspicuous than they would have liked. They would need to 'disappear' for a period of time before the Alphas of Ulfrheim would lose interest in ending their midnight escapades. Arriving back on land, Sif scoured the coastlines for an excellent location to stash her steals until it was safe to retrieve them. Discovering several potential locations, Sif hid small bits of her treasures across Ulfrheim to ensure that in the unlikely event that someone were to find them they would never completely capture her hoard.
It was during these expeditions that Sif discovered a group living amongst the lush greens of Melrakki, a pack with a thirst for blood that rivaled even that of her own. Intrigued, she recruited several of her ranking officers to infiltrate their ranks and see if perhaps they could help each other...what she didn't expect is that she'd be swept up in the tides of conflict herself...oh well, all the better to kill with you my dears.
