I am proud to announce my monthly attendance of the Time Traveler's Indoor Market hosted by Geeks and Antiques at the Washington Park Mall in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. As a vendor, I sell my original artworks such as paintings and pyrographs, but I also have prints, stickers, and buttons.
If you're ever in the area during one of the listed weekends, come by and say hi! I have a consistent rotation of merchandise with something for everyone.
Once again, I am to be featured for this year's Tulsa Living Arts member showcase along with a wide variety of fantastic Tulsan creatives. The theme this year was Avant Garden, and I took that and ran. Featured in this post was my octopus celebrating the event himself with a bubbling glass of champagne, but I also have a gorgeous bouquet on display in a dazzling cubist sensibility.
Although I will not make an appearance for the fundraising gala, I am delighted to be there in spirit via my paintings.
This may have been Sallisaw OK's second art market, but it was my first time as a vendor! I had brought a wide selection of my different works, such as paintings, pyrographs and prints. What can I say, variety is the spice of life! As the Red Autumn Art Festival was hosted on October 31st through November 1st, I made sure to bring pieces that captured the spirit of Halloween.
I had a most excellent time meeting the people of Sallisaw and several of the wonderfully talented artists attending as well. I hope to come again next year with an even wider and brighter selection.
See ya next time, Sallisaw!
To celebrate Gene Wilder's birthday, Pal-Mel productions hosted a double feature movie screening at the Rooftop Cinema Club in San Diego, California in collaboration with the Alzheimer's Association. Gene Wilder would have been 92 today.
I had the honor and privilege of signing and selling my prints to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association and the Gene Wilder Legacy Foundation alongside Karen Wilder and her photography.
For the 2025 Champagne and Chocolate Gala at the Living Arts of Tulsa, I displayed two pieces for this years theme of Alice Through the Looking Glass. As an avid enjoyer of both Lewis Carroll stories, I felt like this event was made for me. I had my pieces showcased from February 7th to March 15th, with both my pieces selling.
The two pieces featured, "Drink This! Eat That!" and "Garden Salad," were both colored with gel pens and highlighter. Using a method I had invertedly developed while I was bored at my day job, I brought my visions to life with energetic and saturated neons. I personally love illustrating lavalamps with this method, as you would see in my previous works if you've been following me within the past few years.
As mentioned, I love "Alice in Wonderland" and "Alice Through the Looking Glass" equally, so I decided to pay homage to both stories. "Drink This! Not That" is in reference to the treats and drink that Alice consumes in the earlier chapters of "Wonderland," where as "Garden Salad" ties the two books together with the same selection of flowers that Alice meets in the "Looking Glass" and a teacup alluding to the Mad Hatter and March Hare's tea party.
I am blessed to have the privilege of being the featured artist for Gene Wilder Official AND to illustrate a full comic series based on my concept after winning the Gene Wilder comic book competition!
The story will take place in a mid-Victorian city where machinery and society is fueled by steam and paved with rotating gears and gadgets. In this world, inventors are free to let their imagination run wild in this new-age of steam. Our main character, Jeremiah Silverman (played by Gene Wilder's likeness) will unveil his history from a young apprentice to a novel steam-smith in this anthology comic series.
Note from PAL-MEL Creative Director: “When Karen {Wilder} was shown the graphic, she absolutely loved it!”
