About Subrata

Subrata grew up in Bankura, West Bengal, India.  He received his M.Sc. degree in 2010 from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) under the supervision of Prof. S. Nagendran and his Ph.D. degree in 2015 from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) under the guidance of Prof. V. Chandrasekhar and Prof. Sandeep Verma. After that, he moved to Professor H. W. Roesky’s research group at the University of Göttingen as a postdoctoral fellow and worked in low-valent main-group chemistry. After spending three years in Germany, Subrata joined Prof. Manners’s group at the University of Victoria, Canada, and worked on inorganic polymers and catalysis with main-group substrates.  In December 2019, Subrata joined IIT Delhi as an assistant professor.
