If you want a long-lasting wireless headset for seniors with an over-ear design, choose Skullcandy Hesh 360; if you need a light, open-ear option for seniors who prefer a clip-on fit, choose ERDU Starry Ear Cuff. The difference is simple: Hesh 360 prioritizes extended battery life and adjustable awareness, while ERDU puts open-ear comfort and jewelry-style design first.
• Skullcandy Hesh 360: Up to 100 hours of battery life and adjustable Stay-Aware Mode; the trade-off is a full over-ear design rather than an open clip-on fit.
• ERDU Starry Ear Cuff: A 5-gram-per-side open-ear clip-on design with interchangeable magnetic decorations; the trade-off is up to 5 hours of playback per charge before using the case.
• Hesh 360 suits listeners who want long stretches between charges, over-ear headphones, and the option to hear some surroundings through adjustable mode.
• ERDU suits listeners who dislike in-ear earbuds, want an open-ear style, or value an accessory-like appearance.
• Both support multipoint pairing, so each can connect to two devices at once.
Hesh 360 is the more natural fit if you want one wireless headset for long listening sessions and do not want to plan your day around frequent charging. Its stated battery life is up to 100 hours, and a 10-minute Rapid Charge is listed as providing up to 8 hours of listening. Those figures make it the stronger option for extended listening between charges.
The over-ear design may appeal if you prefer headphones that sit around your ears rather than clip onto them. Bluetooth 5.3 provides wireless connectivity, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack is included for wired use. Multipoint pairing can connect two devices at the same time, which is handy if you move between a phone and another compatible device.
Stay-Aware Mode is a notable feature for listeners who want to hear more of their surroundings without removing the headphones. Its levels can be adjusted in the Skullcandy app, which also offers preset and custom EQ profiles. The clear-voice smart mic is intended to isolate your voice during calls. I would skip Hesh 360 if an open-ear clip-on fit or decorative jewelry design is your priority.

ERDU Starry Ear Cuff is for someone who wants wireless audio without putting earbuds inside the ear canal. Each side weighs 5 grams, and the clip-on design uses a soft silicone bridge. That makes it a distinct option for people who find traditional in-ear earbuds uncomfortable, though the product’s fit preference is personal: a clip-on is not the same experience as an over-ear headphone.
Its open-ear design leaves the ear canal uncovered, and its jewelry-inspired appearance is central to the product. The set includes two pairs of magnetic decorative accessories and a velvet pouch. If you want an audio device that can also function as a visible accessory, ERDU offers something Hesh 360 does not.
Battery expectations need a closer look. ERDU lists 5 hours of playback on a charge, with another 25 hours supplied by the charging case, for 30 hours total. It also supports multipoint pairing and Bluetooth 6.0. I would pass on it if your priority is the longest continuous listening time on the headphones themselves, or if you specifically want an over-ear design.
• Best for longer battery life between charges → Skullcandy Hesh 360. It lists up to 100 hours, compared with ERDU’s 5 hours per charge. ERDU’s case adds 25 more hours, bringing its stated total to 30 hours.
• Best for a quick battery boost → Skullcandy Hesh 360. Its 10-minute Rapid Charge is listed for up to 8 hours of listening. ERDU lists a 1.5-hour earbud charge time and a 2-hour case charge time.
• Best for an open-ear, clip-on fit → ERDU Starry Ear Cuff. Its non-in-ear design leaves the ear canal uncovered. Hesh 360 is an over-ear headphone.
• Best for adjustable awareness → Skullcandy Hesh 360. Stay-Aware Mode has adjustable levels through the app. ERDU is described as open-ear, but the provided details do not give it an adjustable awareness mode.
• Best for a jewelry-inspired look → ERDU Starry Ear Cuff. It includes two pairs of magnetic decorative accessories. Hesh 360 is presented as a conventional over-ear headphone.
• Best for wired listening → Skullcandy Hesh 360. It has a 3.5 mm headphone jack; ERDU has no headphone jack.
• Best for changing sound settings in an app → Skullcandy Hesh 360. Its app supports preset and custom EQ profiles. No comparable app-based EQ feature is listed for ERDU.
• Best for choosing between two connected devices → Either. Both support multipoint pairing, allowing connection to two devices at once.
The senior-focused choice depends less on age than on the listening setup someone finds easiest. A person who prefers headphones over the ears, long battery intervals, and app-adjustable awareness may find Hesh 360 the more practical fit. Someone who would rather avoid an in-ear shape and wants a small clip-on design may gravitate toward ERDU. Neither design is automatically right for every older listener; comfort, handling preference, and intended surroundings matter.
If you are searching for the best earbuds for seniors, ERDU’s open-ear clip-on shape is the clearest match of these two for someone who does not want an ear-canal bud. But it is not a conventional earbud fit, and its stated single-charge playback is much shorter than Hesh 360’s. If “best head phones for seniors” means an over-ear model with long battery life, Hesh 360 is the more direct match.
The two devices also approach awareness differently. Hesh 360 uses adjustable Stay-Aware Mode, so the listener can choose how much outside sound to let in through the app. ERDU’s open-ear design leaves the ear uncovered, but the product information does not specify adjustable awareness controls. That distinction may matter for someone who wants to hear household activity while listening. Neither description establishes how either product performs in every noisy environment, so I would not treat either feature as a guarantee of hearing every sound around you.
For calls, both list multipoint pairing, which can be useful when switching between two connected devices. Hesh 360 specifically lists a clear-voice smart mic designed to isolate the speaker’s voice. ERDU’s listed features do not describe a comparable mic function, so I would give Hesh 360 the edge if call-focused details are important. That is a comparison of the stated features, not a claim about call quality in every setting.
The biggest practical compromise is battery format. Hesh 360’s up-to-100-hour figure is for the headphones; ERDU’s 30-hour total combines 5 hours from the earbuds with 25 hours from the case. Someone who wants to wear headphones for a long stretch without relying on a case has a clear reason to lean toward Hesh 360. Someone who values an open-ear fit and can recharge through the case may find ERDU’s shorter individual listening period acceptable.
For seniors, I would choose Skullcandy Hesh 360 if the priority is long battery life, an over-ear fit, and adjustable Stay-Aware Mode. Its wired jack and app-based sound adjustments add flexibility, too. ERDU Starry Ear Cuff is the more distinctive choice for someone who prefers an open, lightweight clip-on design and decorative accessories. My overall pick is Hesh 360 for a more practical everyday wireless headset; I would choose ERDU instead when open-ear comfort is the deciding need.
There is no single fit that suits every senior. Hesh 360 offers an over-ear design, up to 100 hours of listed battery life, and adjustable Stay-Aware Mode. ERDU offers a 5-gram-per-side open-ear clip-on design for someone who prefers not to use in-ear earbuds.
No. ERDU lists 5 hours per charge, plus 25 additional hours from its case, for 30 hours total. Hesh 360 lists up to 100 hours, with a 10-minute charge providing up to 8 hours of listening.
Hesh 360 has an adjustable Stay-Aware Mode controlled through the app. ERDU’s open-ear design leaves the ear canal uncovered, but its listed features do not specify an adjustable awareness mode.
Yes. Both products list multipoint pairing for two devices. Hesh 360 also includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack; ERDU does not.
