Methods and Sensors for Food quality & Human Health
Consumption of food containing adulterants and contaminants may impose severe risk to human health. To empower the consumer and regulatory agencies, our aim is to develop methods and sensors for detection of adulterants and contaminants in food commodities.Â
Also, innovative materials, sensors and diagnostic tools for application in human health care are being developed.
Functionality and mechanism of molecular chaperones & metal induced toxicity
Molecular chaperones play a major role in preventing protein misfolding by mediating proper native folding, unfolding and refolding of the polypeptides along-with vast number of other cellular functions. We use various biochemical and biophysical approaches to decipher the mechanism of molecular chaperones and metal induced toxicity.
