I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Occidental College, Los Angeles.  My primary research interests are in political economy, development economics, banking and finance. Prior to moving to southern California, I served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of economics at Ashoka University, India.  

In a past life, I served as a research economist in India's central bank -- the Reserve Bank of India. Prior to that, I completed my PhD in 2017, from the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California - Berkeley.
