Prof. Doo-Hyun Ko (고두현)

Dr. Doo-Hyun is currently a Professor of Chemistry at Sungkyunkwan University, a position he assumed in 2021. Before this, he served as an Assistant Professor of Applied Chemistry at Kyung Hee University from 2015 to 2021. Earlier in his career, he contributed as a Senior Research Scientist at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST).
Dr. Ko's academic foundation was laid at Korea University, where he secured his B.S. (1996) and M.S. (1998) degrees in Chemistry. Moving into the industrial sector, he played a pivotal role as a Research Scientist at LG Display from 1998 to 2005, specializing in TFT-LCDs and OLEDs.
He furthered his academic pursuits by obtaining his Ph.D. (2010) in Chemistry under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Edward T. Samulski at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research during this period was centered on nano-patterned organic photovoltaics. To deepen his expertise, Dr. Ko engaged in postdoctoral research (2012) with Prof. Richard Friend at the University of Cambridge.
