My primary research interests are in real estate finance with particular emphasis on rental housing and commercial real estate.

Background on my professional experience
I was a Researcher at the Office of Financial Research from July 2023 to January 2025. My role has focused on research and monitoring with subject matter expertise in rental housing, commercial real estate, and household finance. My PhD is in Applied Economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Before graduate school, I worked as an Analyst at Analysis Group in D.C., and as Prof. Christopher Palmer's research assistant at the Berkeley-Haas Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics. My B.A. is from UNC-Chapel Hill in Economics and Political Science.
In Spring 2021 and 2022, I was a teaching assistant for Prof. Joe Gyourko's Housing Markets course (REAL/BEPP 208/708). I was head teaching assistant for BEPP 250 (Managerial Economics; Prof. Abito & Doraszelski) in Spring 2020. I was a teaching assistant for Prof. Ioana Marinescu's course on Economics for Social Policy (MSSP 668) at Penn's School of Social Policy and Practice in fall 2018, 2019, and 2020. In 2018-2019, I co-organized the Energy Economics & Finance seminar hosted by Prof. Arthur van Benthem & the Kleinman Center for Energy Policy at Penn.
