SkaterLabs provides training tools for skaters and coaches. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information: Name, email address, and selected role (skater or coach).
User Content and Training Data: Practice logs, goals, program content, protocol scan inputs, progress metrics, and coach/skater relationship data entered in the app.
Device and Notification Data: Device identifiers and push notification tokens used to deliver app notifications.
Purchase Information: Subscription status and transaction state provided by Apple. We do not receive or store full payment card information.
We use your information to:
Provide and secure core app functionality.
Enable coach-skater connections and data sharing only for approved relationships.
Save, sync, and display training data across sessions and devices.
Send push notifications and essential account/service messages.
Improve reliability, performance, and product quality.
When you use AI-powered features (such as protocol analysis, Smart Plan generation, or AI coach feedback), relevant content you submit—including selected images and training context—is processed by our backend and may be sent to OpenAI to generate results.
We use third-party providers to operate the app, including:
Google Firebase / Google Cloud: Used for authentication, database storage, cloud functions, and messaging.
OpenAI: Used for AI response generation.
These providers process data only as needed to provide their services to us.
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only:
Between linked skaters and coaches within approved app relationships.
With service providers that help us run the app (e.g., Google, OpenAI).
Legal Compliance: When required by law or valid legal process.
Retention: We retain account and training data while your account is active.
Deletion: After account deletion, we delete associated user data from active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law, security, or fraud-prevention obligations.
User Controls: You can request deletion at any time by using the "Delete Account" option in app settings or contacting us at skaterlabs.support@gmail.com.
SkaterLabs may be used by minors only with parent/legal guardian authorization (or a coach acting with verified parental permission). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate authorization.
International Processing: Your data may be processed and stored in countries other than your own through our cloud service providers.
Security: We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy: We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at this URL with the revised date.
