Short Bio | I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at IIT Hyderabad. Before joining IITH, I was the Ramanujan Faculty Fellow at IIT Madras (Dept. of Mechanical Engineering). Earlier, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. I did my B.E. (Dept. of Aeronautical Engineering) from Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai, and my M.E. (Dept. of Space Engineering and Rocketry) from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Jharkhand. I obtained my Ph.D. (Dept. of Aerospace Engineering) from IISc Bengaluru. My research interests are experimental gas dynamics, jet aeroacoustics, hypersonic aerothermodynamics, optical flow diagnostics, and fluidic/energy-conversion devices.
Outline | I am a scientific researcher in the field of fluid dynamics. I am researching a wide range of flow problems, including the flow physics involved in the hypersonic/supersonic leading-edge separation, mixing process inside an annular subsonic combustor, hypersonic inlet buzz, supersonic jets/ejectors, confined supersonic flows, transonic cavity flow noise control, and shock-laden flow control.
My areas of research interest broadly include experimental/computational gas dynamics, aeroacoustics, flow control, fluidic devices, fluid-structure interactions, thermo-fluids, hypersonic aerothermodynamics, mixing flows, wind/shock tunnels, high-speed imaging, energy conservation, advanced optical flow diagnostics like PLMS, PIV & PLIF, data-driven techniques, and digital image processing.
My works have been published in many reputed peer-reviewed journals and received accolades from several international conferences. I am an active reviewer in several physics and engineering journals. Recently, I have been awarded as ‘the Top Reviewer’ in Engineering and Cross-Field by ‘Web of Science’.
