Kate Higgins-Tirro is a graduate of Carleton College and University of Tennessee Knoxville, earning her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering. During the week, she examines patents, and on Sundays, you can find her working in the nursery! She enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and daughter, Evie, making pottery and baked goods, and reading way too many books!
