Piano - Violin - Theory - Composition - Live Sound
Welcome! I'm Sarah Edmondson, a piano and violin teacher based in Lancaster and the South Lakes area, UK. If you're looking for a teacher who is professional but has a focus on enjoyable learning whether it be for ABRSM Grades or just for fun, then you've come to the right place! As both a teacher and a performing musician, I am well placed to offer a broad range of lesson styles to suit your requirements. From absolute beginners to wannabe rock stars, I've got it covered!
With over 15 years' experience as a secondary classroom teacher alongside teaching privately I aim to deliver high quality lessons that contain just the right amount of stretch and challenge to make learning an instrument highly rewarding. Practice is important, but life also happens.....being a mum to two children under three I understand only too well the demands on your time! For more information about lessons with me, then please send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org for an informal chat.
A retiree? A preschooler? Sarah also offers lessons just for fun!! No pressure, just turn up and play.
ABRSM Grades, GCSE or A-Level Music - Performance, Composition, Theory or General Musicianship.
Sarah has been performing in live bands for many years, and can help you achieve the same if it is a goal of yours!
I aim to inspire all of my students, past and present. Here's what a couple of parents think of my teaching!
" As a family of three all learning the piano with Sarah we cannot recommend her highly enough! Our 9 year old daughter is always excited about her lessons and has earned distinctions in grades 1, 2 and 3 ABRSM with Sarah's guidance. Although not taking exams, my wife and I follow a mainly classical approach but Sarah tailors our lessons individually allowing us to dip into jazz, blues and even some of our own compositions if we are feeling brave! We are so pleased with our daughter's musical progress that we have just started her on violin lessons. - with Sarah of course!''
" Sarah is a wonderful and talented teacher. My children (aged 13 and 10) look forward to their lessons each week. Sarah has inspired them to learn the piano and build on their skills with her positive and encouraging teaching style. She takes the time to get to know her students and tailors the lessons accordingly with a lovely balance of focus on technical work and playing for enjoyment. I am very impressed with the care and professionalism she brings to each lesson."
