Now offering Mobile Lessons- I come to your place!
Music isn't just for kids, and it’s never too late to start a new chapter. Whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time at 50, or you’re a parent looking for a patient, professional mentor for your child, I’m here to help you find your sound.
I’m Seth Johnson, and at age 45, I’ve learned that the best way to teach music is to meet students exactly where they are. I understand that my adult students aren't looking for a high-pressure environment—they’re looking for a rewarding hobby, a way to decompress after a day at work, or a "bucket list" goal to finally conquer.
I specialize in working with adult learners and retirees. Because we share a common musical language, we focus on the songs you actually love. We don’t spend months on abstract theory; we use the classics—from the 70s, 80s, and 90s Rock, Blues, and Folk—to teach you the mechanics of the instrument.
Why Study With Me?
Relatable Instruction: No "music school" intimidation. Just clear, patient coaching from someone who understands your goals.
Physical Longevity: For my older students, I focus on techniques that are easy on the hands and ergonomics that keep you playing comfortably for years.
Flexible Locations: I offer a dedicated studio environment in Crawfordsville, as well as Mobile Lessons that bring the music to your living room.
All Ages Welcome: While I specialize in adult education, I also provide a solid, fun foundation for motivated younger students looking to learn the right way.
I am proud to be a part of this community. I provide in-studio and mobile guitar lessons across a wide region, ensuring that quality instruction is accessible no matter where you live.
My Regular Service Areas Include:
Montgomery County: Crawfordsville, Linden, New Market, Darlington, and Ladoga.
