Issues with TOC and Top of page links not working in Google Sites. A page to test the issues on
The issue for Google is that on a single page, when the Site name or Brand logo is not added to the top of the home page then TOC does not work.
Site name/brand logo can take up to 1/6th of the vertical screen, so when viewed Landscape on a mobile device - that intrusion is quite significant.
The second issue is the search bar. On a full width windows computer screen, the Search tool is a small icon in the top right corner of the screen. But for some reason, as soon as the width of the screen is reduced just a little, or the page is displayed on a mobile device - the little inconspicuous icon becomes a bar and takes up 1/6th of the screen.
Google Sites needs to address both these issues.

This image will take you to Google Photos. Then you have to find the Slideshow button in the 3 dot menu at top right of screen.
