Recap of week one

Congratulations on reaching the end of week one of this course. This week you have recapped the concept of functions as reusable units of code and looked at passing parameters to a function, as well as functions which return a value. You’ve also learnt about how to teach these ideas and had a go at creating some functions of your own.

At this point, it’s worth taking some time to reflect on what you’ve learnt. Share in the comments what you’ve enjoyed learning or what you’ve struggled with.

Next week you’ll take a look at writing an algorithm or set of instructions to solve a task, both in plain English and in code. You’ll also learn about using lists as a way of organising and manipulating data.
